'As It is Written' in the Bible

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God: As it is written in the prophets,

He answering said to them, Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

But I say to you, Elijah is come, as it is written of him: and they have done to him whatsoever they listed.

The Son of man indeed goeth as it is written of him; but wo to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed: it had been good for that man, if he had not been born.
