'Here I Am' in the Bible

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!”“Here I am,” he answered.

Then Isaac spoke to his father Abraham and said, “My father.”And he replied, “Here I am, my son.”Isaac said, “The fire and the wood are here, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”He replied, “Here I am.”

When Isaac was old and his eyes were so weak that he could not see, he called his older son Esau and said to him, “My son.”And he answered, “Here I am.”

When he came to his father, he said, “My father.”And he answered, “Here I am. Who are you, my son?”

In that dream the Angel of God said to me, ‘Jacob!’ and I said, ‘Here I am.’

That night God spoke to Israel in a vision: “Jacob, Jacob!” He said.And Jacob replied, “Here I am.”
