Dead flies make a perfumer’s oil stink, so a little foolishness is weightier than wisdom and honor.


Like a dog that returns to its vomit
Is a fool who repeats his folly.

This is the way of those who are foolish,
And of those after them who approve their words. Selah.

The mind of the intelligent seeks knowledge,
But the mouth of fools feeds on folly.


And I saw that wisdom excels folly as light excels darkness.

Wisdom rests in the heart of one who has understanding,
But in the hearts of fools it is made known.



For if you cry for discernment, Lift your voice for understanding; If you seek her as silver And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will discern the fear of the LORD And discover the knowledge of God.


Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding!
Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth.

"But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

A fool's lips bring strife, And his mouth calls for blows. A fool's mouth is his ruin, And his lips are the snare of his soul.


For in many dreams and in many words there is emptiness. Rather, fear God.

Like a thorn which falls into the hand of a drunkard,

But with the mouth of the foolish, ruin is at hand.

The lips of the wise spread knowledge,
But the hearts of fools are not so.


Like the legs which are useless to the lame,
So is a proverb in the mouth of fools.


“O that you would be completely silent,
And that it would become your wisdom!

"Is there no limit to windy words? Or what plagues you that you answer? "I too could speak like you, If I were in your place. I could compose words against you And shake my head at you.

“Who is this that darkens counsel
By words without knowledge?

Do not answer a fool according to his folly,
Or you will also be like him.

Do not slander a slave to his master,
Or he will curse you and you will be found guilty.

the beginning of his talking is folly and the end of it is wicked madness. Yet the fool multiplies words No man knows what will happen, and who can tell him what will come after him?


On the lips of the discerning, wisdom is found,
But a rod is for the back of him who lacks understanding.


A plan in the heart of a man is like deep water,
But a man of understanding draws it out.


He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
He who keeps understanding will find good.

A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none,
But knowledge is easy to one who has understanding.

Daniel said, "Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him. "It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding.

By the transgression of a land many are its princes,
But by a man of understanding and knowledge, so it endures.

Does not wisdom call, And understanding lift up her voice? On top of the heights beside the way, Where the paths meet, she takes her stand; Beside the gates, at the opening to the city, At the entrance of the doors, she cries out: read more.
"To you, O men, I call, And my voice is to the sons of men. "O naive ones, understand prudence; And, O fools, understand wisdom. "Listen, for I will speak noble things; And the opening of my lips will reveal right things. "For my mouth will utter truth; And wickedness is an abomination to my lips. "All the utterances of my mouth are in righteousness; There is nothing crooked or perverted in them. "They are all straightforward to him who understands, And right to those who find knowledge.

But the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.
