Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and ye will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
But do thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and, when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret; and thy Father, who seeth in secret, will reward thee. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do; for they think that they shall be heard for the multitude of their words. Be not ye therefore like them; for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Jesus answered and said to her, If thou hadst known the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldst have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
and whatever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do; that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
If ye then, though evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!

But if any one of you is wanting in wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it will be given him.

Be anxious about nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
And this is the confidence which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us; and if we know that he heareth us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked of him.
