Be patient, therefore, brethren, to the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receiveth the early and the latter rain.
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing earnest in prayer;
Better is the end of a thing than its beginning: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all long-suffering, for a pattern to them who should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he will strengthen thy heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
For what glory is it, if, when ye are buffeted for your faults, ye bear it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye bear it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
What is my strength, that I should hope? and what is my end, that I should prolong my life?
With all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love;
The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
Behold, we count them happy who endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
Suffer me a little, and I will show thee that I have yet to speak on God's behalf.

I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first:
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit, than he that taketh a city.

By pureness, by knowledge, by long-suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by love unfeigned,
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are disorderly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak, be patient towards all men.
Wherefore, seeing we also are encompassed with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye may receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that is coming will come, and will not tarry.
