So He said to them, "I solemnly say to you, there is no one who has given up home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the kingdom of God, who will not receive in return many times more in this world, and in the next eternal life."
For whoever wants to save his higher life, will have to give up the lower life, and whoever gives up his lower life for me and for the good news, will save the higher life.
there must be no indecency, silly talk or suggestive jesting, for they are unbecoming. There should be thanksgiving instead.
By the help of the Lord always keep up the glad spirit; yes, I will repeat it, keep up the glad spirit. Let your forbearing spirit be known to everybody. The Lord is near. Stop being worried about anything, but always, in prayer and entreaty, and with thanksgiving, keep on making your wants known to God.read more.
Then, through your union with Christ Jesus, the peace of God, that surpasses all human thought, will keep guard over your hearts and thoughts.
with your roots deeply planted in Him, being continuously built up in Him, and growing stronger in faith, just as you were taught to do, overflowing through it in your gratitude.
Let the peace that Christ can give keep on acting as umpire in your hearts, for you were called to this state as members of one body. And practice being thankful.
Let us, therefore, be thankful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and in this way continue to serve God acceptably in reverence and fear;
