Indeed he who spared not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not with him, freely give us all things?

And Jesus responding said, You know not what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup which I am about to drink? They say to Him, We are able. And He says to them, You shall indeed drink my cup, but to sit on my right, and on my left, this is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.
And Jesus said to them, You know not what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup which I drink? and to be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized? And they said to Him, We are able. And Jesus said to them, You shall indeed drink the cup which I drink, and be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized:
because the blessing is conferred on you in behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but indeed to suffer for him:
For unto this you have been called: because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you may follow in his steps:
