And they were constantly attending on the teaching of the apostles, and the imparting [of their substance], the breaking of bread, and the prayers.

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a partaking of the blood of Christ? the loaf which we break, is it not a partaking of the body of Christ?

and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, This is my body, which is for you; this do in remembrance of me.

And on the first day of the week, when we had assembled to break bread, Paul discoursed to them, being about to depart on the morrow, and continued the discourse until midnight.

For, when ye eat, every one taketh before any distribution his own supper, and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

And after eight days the disciples were again within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be to you!

nor do ye consider that it is expedient for us that one man die for the people, and not the whole nation perish.

Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them unto the end.

If any one loveth not the Lord, let him be accursed! The Lord is at hand.

So that whoever eateth the bread or drinketh the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty with respect to the body and the blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and thus let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup; for he that eateth and drinketh eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, if he do not discern the body.read more.
For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and some are falling asleep. But if we judged ourselves, we should not be judged; but when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
