And they were all amazed, so that they questioned each other, saying, What is this? New teaching with authority; even the unclean spirits doth he command, and they obey him!

And he spoke also a parable to them: No one taketh a patch from a new garment and putteth it upon an old one; for then both the new garment would be rent, and the patch from the new garment would not match with the old.

No one putteth a patch of undressed cloth on an old garment; for the piece that filleth in teareth away from the garment, and a worse rent is made.

who also gave us ability to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit; for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.

Now the principal thing among those of which we are speaking is this: We have such a highpriest, who sat down on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man. For if, indeed, he were on earth, he would not be a priest, since there are those that offer the gifts according to the Law; who serve the mere delineation and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was admonished by God when he was about to make the tabernacle; for, "See," saith he, "that thou make all things according to the pattern which was shown thee in the mount." But now he hath obtained a more excellent ministry, in proportion as he is the mediator of a better covenant, which hath been established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then a place would not have been sought for a second. For finding fault with them, he saith: "Behold, the days are coming, saith the Lord, when I will make with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah a new covenant; not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers, in the day when I took them by the hand, to bring them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will put my laws into their mind, and on their hearts will I write them; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people. And they shall not teach every one his fellowcitizen, and every one his brother, saying, Know the Lord; for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities I will remember no more." In that he saith, "a new covenant," he hath made the first old; but that which is becoming old, and worn out with age, is ready to vanish away.

a new and living way, which he consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, his flesh,

and to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant; and to a sprinkling with that blood which speaketh something better than Abel.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that overcometh, I will give of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no one knoweth but he that receiveth it.

Nicodemus saith to him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter his mothers womb a second time, and be born? Jesus answered, Truly, truly do I say to thee, Unless a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. That which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit. Marvel not that I said to thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it will; and thou hearest the sound thereof, but knowest not whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said to him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said to him, Art thou the teacher of Israel, and understandest not these things? Truly, truly do I say to thee, We speak that which we know, and testify that which we have seen; and ye receive not our testimony. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how will ye believe if I tell you heavenly things? And no one hath ascended into heaven, but he who came down from heaven, even the Son of man. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up that every one who believeth in him may have everlasting life. For God so loved the world, that he gave the only begotten Son, that every one who believeth in him may not perish, but may have everlasting life.

Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

We then by this baptism into his death were buried with him; that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

and have put on the new man, who is renewed unto knowledge after the image of him that created him;

Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.

and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that ye put on the new man, who was created according to God in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

A new commandment I give you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this will all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one for another.

Beloved, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment, which ye have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard. Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in him, and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light now shineth.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

He that overcometh, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall nevermore go out; and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my Gods and I will write upon him my new name.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write; for these words are faithful and true.
