And Pilate, wishing to satisfy the multitude, released to them Barabbas, and delivered up Jesus, after having scourged Him, to be crucified.

But they were urgent, with loud voices, asking that He might be crucified. And their voices prevailed. And Pilate gave judgment that their request should be executed;

And, behold, a man, Joseph by name, who was a councillor, a good and righteous man (the same had not consented to their plan and deed), from Arimathaea, a city of the Jews, who was waiting for the Kingdom of God: the same, going to Pilate, asked for the body of Jesus.

and he not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God.
