And all the people endeavoured to touch Him, for there went a divine virtue out of Him, and healed them all.
and came into his own country, and taught them in their synagogues; so that they were amazed and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom and these powers?

And king Herod heard of Him, (for his name was spread abroad,) and he said, John the baptist is risen from the dead, and therefore miraculous powers appear in him.

And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive a peculiar virtue is gone out of me.
And they were all amazed, and said one to another, What a speech is this? for with authority and power He commandeth the impure spirits, and they come out!
And one day, as He was teaching, there were pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, who were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judea, and from Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was present to heal the people:
how God anointed Him with the holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil: for God was with Him.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy hath regenerated us to a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, and unfading, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
And as I am to be no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to Thee, Holy Father, keep by thy name those whom Thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things future, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Being dismissed they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them. And when they heard it, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, Thou art God, who hast made heaven and earth, and sea, and all things therein: who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?read more.
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against his anointed. For of a truth both Herod and Pontius Pilate, the Gentiles and the people of Israel, combined against thy holy child Jesus, (whom Thou hast anointed,) to do whatever thy hand and thy counsel had before determined to be done. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings; and give unto thy servants to speak thy word with all freedom, while Thou art stretching forth thy hand to heal, and while signs and wonders are done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the holy Spirit, and they spake the word of God with freedom.
(for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the demolishing of bulwarks:)
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, both Jew and Greek:
For when we were yet without strength, Christ died in due season for the ungodly.
For that which was impossible for the law to do, and in which it was weak through the corruption of the flesh, God by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sacrifice for sin, hath done; that is, hath condemned sin in the flesh:
For the doctrine of the cross is to them, that perish, foolishness: but to us, who are saved, it is the power of God.
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one: for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever. Amen."
And He said unto them, Verily I tell you, that there are some of those who stand here, that shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
But I will come to you soon, if the Lord please, and will know, not the speech of them that are puffed up, but the power: for the kingdom of God consisteth not in speech, but in power.
And my discourse, and my preaching was not with the persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power; that your faith might not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
And with great power did the apostles give their testimony of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
But Saul prevailed more and more, and confounded the Jews that dwelt at Damascus, fully proving that this same Jesus is the Christ.

For God hath not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but of vigor, and of love, and of prudence. Be not therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but bear thy part in the afflictions of the gospel, according to the power of God;
Then will be the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God even the Father; when He shall have abolished all rule, and all authority, and power.
And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made them an open spectacle, triumphing over them by it.
For our conflict is not with flesh and blood only, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world and of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accused them before our God day and night.
standing afar off for fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, the great city Babylon, that powerful city! for in one hour is thy judgement come.
The last enemy that is destroyed is death:
Seeing then the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also himself in like manner partook of them; that by death He might destroy him that had the empire of death, that is, the devil: and deliver those who through fear of death were all their life-time subject to bondage.
