And the king was exceeding sorry: yet for his oath's sake, and for the sake of his guests, he would not reject her.

Seeing then these things cannot be denied, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Christ who called you by his grace to another gospel, Which is not another;

For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, arrogant, proud, evil-speakers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, Without natural affection, covenant-breakers, slanderers, intemperate, fierce, despisers of good men, Traitors, rash, puffed up, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God;

But the register, having pacified the people, said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there who knoweth not, that the city of the Ephesians is a worshiper of the great Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter? Seeing then these things cannot be denied, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.

Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither partake of other mens sins; keep thyself pure.

But know this, that in the last days grievous times will come. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

And which of you intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and computeth the cost, whether he hath sufficient to finish it?
