I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight,

But he that doubts is condemned, if he eat, because he eats not with faith. Every thing that is not of faith, is sin.

But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men have loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that does evil, hates the light, and comes not to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

And he would not; but went and threw him into prison, till he should pay the debt. When his fellow-servants saw what was done, they were very sad, and went and made known to their lord all that was done. Then his lord called him and said to him: Wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you besought me. Ought you not to have had mercy on your fellow-servant, even as I had mercy on you? And his lord was angry, and delivered him to the jailers, till he should pay all that was due him. So also will my heavenly Father do to you, if, from your hearts, you forgive not every one his brother's offenses.

for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,

how much more will the blood of the Christ, who, through the eternal Spirit, offered himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works, in order that you may serve the living God?

Therefore, to him that knows how to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.

who, acknowledging the judgment of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but approve those who practice them.

but he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few. To whomever much has been given, of him shall much be required; and to whom men have intrusted much, of him will they ask the more.
