'Booth' in the Bible
“He builds his house like a spider’s web,Like a (temporary) hut which a watchman makes.
The Daughter of Zion (Jerusalem) is left like a [deserted] shelter in a vineyard,Like a watchman’s hut in a cucumber field, like a besieged city [isolated, surrounded by devastation].
And He has violently broken down His temple like a [fragile] garden hedge;He has destroyed His appointed meeting place.The Lord has caused the appointed feast and SabbathTo be forgotten in ZionAnd has despised and rejected the king and the priestIn the indignation of His anger.
“In that day I shall raise up and restore the fallen tabernacle (booth) of David,And wall up its breaches [in the city walls];I will also raise up and restore its ruinsAnd rebuild it as it was in the days of old,
Then Jonah went out of the city and sat east of it. There he made himself a shelter and sat under its shade so that he could see what would happen in the city.
