'Death' in the Bible
Truly, truly I say to you that the one who hears my word and who believes the one who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
Truly, truly I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never experience death {forever}."
The Jews said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham and the prophets died, and you say, 'If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death {forever}.'
And [when he] heard [it], Jesus said, "This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, in order that the Son of God may be glorified through it."
(Now Jesus had been speaking about his death, but they thought that he was speaking about {real sleep}.)
