'Earth' in the Bible
The kings of the earth take their standAnd the rulers take counsel togetherAgainst the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
‘Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance,And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.
Now therefore, O kings, show discernment;Take warning, O judges of the earth.
For the choir director; on the Gittith. A Psalm of David.O Lord, our Lord,How majestic is Your name in all the earth,Who have displayed Your splendor above the heavens!
O Lord, our Lord,How majestic is Your name in all the earth!
To vindicate the orphan and the oppressed,So that man who is of the earth will no longer cause terror.
The words of the Lord are pure words;As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times.
As for the saints who are in the earth,They are the majestic ones in whom is all my delight.
Then the earth shook and quaked;And the foundations of the mountains were tremblingAnd were shaken, because He was angry.
Their line has gone out through all the earth,And their utterances to the end of the world.In them He has placed a tent for the sun,
Their offspring You will destroy from the earth,And their descendants from among the sons of men.
All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord,And all the families of the nations will worship before You.
All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship,All those who go down to the dust will bow before Him,Even he who cannot keep his soul alive.
A Psalm of David.The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains,The world, and those who dwell in it.
He loves righteousness and justice;The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the Lord.
Let all the earth fear the Lord;Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
From His dwelling place He looks outOn all the inhabitants of the earth,
The face of the Lord is against evildoers,To cut off the memory of them from the earth.
The Lord will protect him and keep him alive,And he shall be called blessed upon the earth;And do not give him over to the desire of his enemies.
For our soul has sunk down into the dust;Our body cleaves to the earth.
In place of your fathers will be your sons;You shall make them princes in all the earth.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should changeAnd though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;
The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered;He raised His voice, the earth melted.
Come, behold the works of the Lord,Who has wrought desolations in the earth.
He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;He burns the chariots with fire.
“Cease striving and know that I am God;I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
For the Lord Most High is to be feared,A great King over all the earth.
For God is the King of all the earth;Sing praises with a skillful psalm.
The princes of the people have assembled themselves as the people of the God of Abraham,For the shields of the earth belong to God;He is highly exalted.
Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth,Is Mount Zion in the far north,The city of the great King.
As is Your name, O God,So is Your praise to the ends of the earth;Your right hand is full of righteousness.
A Psalm of Asaph.The Mighty One, God, the Lord, has spoken,And summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
He summons the heavens above,And the earth, to judge His people:
Be exalted above the heavens, O God;Let Your glory be above all the earth.

No, in heart you work unrighteousness;On earth you weigh out the violence of your hands.
And men will say, “Surely there is a reward for the righteous;Surely there is a God who judges on earth!”

From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint;Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
But those who seek my life to destroy it,Will go into the depths of the earth.
By awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation,You who are the trust of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest sea;
They who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs;You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.
You visit the earth and cause it to overflow;You greatly enrich it;The stream of God is full of water;You prepare their grain, for thus You prepare the earth.

The earth has yielded its produce;God, our God, blesses us.
God blesses us,That all the ends of the earth may fear Him.
The earth quaked;The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God;Sinai itself quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth,Sing praises to the Lord, Selah.
Let heaven and earth praise Him,The seas and everything that moves in them.
You who have shown me many troubles and distressesWill revive me again,And will bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
May he come down like rain upon the mown grass,Like showers that water the earth.
May he also rule from sea to seaAnd from the River to the ends of the earth.
May there be abundance of grain in the earth on top of the mountains;Its fruit will wave like the cedars of Lebanon;And may those from the city flourish like vegetation of the earth.

He will cut off the spirit of princes;He is feared by the kings of the earth.
The sound of Your thunder was in the whirlwind;The lightnings lit up the world;The earth trembled and shook.
And He built His sanctuary like the heights,Like the earth which He has founded forever.
They have given the dead bodies of Your servants for food to the birds of the heavens,The flesh of Your godly ones to the beasts of the earth.
They do not know nor do they understand;They walk about in darkness;All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
Arise, O God, judge the earth!For it is You who possesses all the nations.
That they may know that You alone, whose name is the Lord,Are the Most High over all the earth.
Truth springs from the earth,And righteousness looks down from heaven.
The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours;The world and all it contains, You have founded them.
“I also shall make him My firstborn,The highest of the kings of the earth.
Before the mountains were bornOr You gave birth to the earth and the world,Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

He has remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

The Lord reigns, let the peoples tremble;He is enthroned above the cherubim, let the earth shake!
A Psalm for Thanksgiving.Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.
So the nations will fear the name of the LordAnd all the kings of the earth Your glory.
For He looked down from His holy height;From heaven the Lord gazed upon the earth,
“Of old You founded the earth,And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.
He established the earth upon its foundations,So that it will not totter forever and ever.
You set a boundary that they may not pass over,So that they will not return to cover the earth.
He waters the mountains from His upper chambers;The earth is satisfied with the fruit of His works.
He causes the grass to grow for the cattle,And vegetation for the labor of man,So that he may bring forth food from the earth,
O Lord, how many are Your works!In wisdom You have made them all;The earth is full of Your possessions.
