'Flesh' in the Bible

Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, “Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat flesh.

“What right has My beloved in My houseWhen she has done many vile deeds?Can the sacrificial flesh take away from you your disaster,So that you can rejoice?”

Thus says the Lord,“Cursed is the man who trusts in mankindAnd makes flesh his strength,And whose heart turns away from the Lord.

I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they will eat one another’s flesh in the siege and in the distress with which their enemies and those who seek their life will distress them.”’

‘A clamor has come to the end of the earth,Because the Lord has a controversy with the nations.He is entering into judgment with all flesh;As for the wicked, He has given them to the sword,’ declares the Lord.”

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?”

But you, are you seeking great things for yourself? Do not seek them; for behold, I am going to bring disaster on all flesh,’ declares the Lord, ‘but I will give your life to you as booty in all the places where you may go.’”

“May the violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon,”The inhabitant of Zion will say;And, “May my blood be upon the inhabitants of Chaldea,”Jerusalem will say.
