'Garden' in the Bible
The Daughter of Zion (Jerusalem) is left like a [deserted] shelter in a vineyard,Like a watchman’s hut in a cucumber field, like a besieged city [isolated, surrounded by devastation].
For you will be like an oak whose leaf withers and diesAnd like a garden that has no water.
For the Lord will comfort Zion [in her captivity];He will comfort all her ruins. And He will make her wilderness like Eden,And her desert like the garden of the Lord;Joy and gladness will be found in her,Thanksgiving and the voice of a melody.
“And the Lord will continually guide you,And satisfy your soul in scorched and dry places,And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden,And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.
For as the earth brings forth its sprouts,And as a garden causes what is sown in it to spring up,So the Lord God will [most certainly] cause righteousness and justice and praiseTo spring up before all the nations [through the power of His word].
