His livestock included 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 teams of oxen, 500 female donkeys, and many servants. Indeed, the man's stature greatly exceeded that of many people who lived in the East.
So Yahweh said to Satan, "Have you {considered} my servant Job? Indeed, there is no one like him on the earth--a blameless man and upright and God-fearing and turning away from evil."
and the Sabeans attacked and swooped down on them and took away the animals. They also killed the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”
So Yahweh {asked} Satan, "Have you {considered} my servant Job? Indeed, there is no one like him on the earth--a blameless man and upright and God-fearing and turning away from evil. And still he persists in his blamelessness {even though} you incited me against him to destroy him for nothing."
But Satan answered the Lord, "Skin for skin! Indeed, a man will give up all that he has to save his life!
But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.
Indeed, let that night be barren; let no shout of joy penetrate it!
"Indeed, since he doesn't trust his servants, since he charges his angels with error,
Indeed, mischief does not come from the dust, and trouble does not sprout from the earth.
"Indeed, how blessed is the person whom God reproves! So never disrespect the discipline of the Almighty,
{Indeed}, my help is not in me, and [any] success is driven from me.
“Indeed, you have now become such,You see a terror and are afraid.
Do ye imagine to reprove words? The speeches of one that is desperate are indeed for the wind.
Indeed, you would gamble to buy an orphan; and barter to buy your friend!
Please turn, let no injustice happen; indeed, turn, {my righteousness is still intact}.
If you [are] pure and upright, indeed, now he will rouse himself for you, and he will restore your righteous abode.
"Indeed, please inquire of former generations, and consider {what their ancestors have found},
"Indeed, this is the benefit of God's way: from the soil other plants will sprout.
"Indeed, I'm fully aware that this is so, but how can a person become right with God?
Indeed, if he snatches someone away, who could restrain him? Who can say to him, "What are you doing?'
‘Is it right for You indeed to oppress,To reject the labor of Your hands,And to look favorably on the schemes of the wicked?
‘According to Your knowledge I am indeed not guilty,Yet there is no deliverance from Your hand.
“Then, indeed, you could lift up your face without moral defect,And you would be steadfast and not fear.
"Truly indeed you [are the] people, and wisdom will die with you.
"Indeed, my eyes have seen all this, my ears have heard and understood it.
For ye indeed are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
"Indeed, you write bitter things against me, and you make me reap the iniquities of my childhood.
Indeed, have you opened your eyes on one like this to bring me into a legal fight with you?
"Indeed, there is hope for a tree: if it is cut down, then it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not cease;
And indeed a mountain falling cometh to nought, and the rock is removed out of its place;
“Indeed, you do away with reverenceAnd hinder meditation before God.
“Behold, God puts no trust in His holy ones (angels);Indeed, the heavens are not pure in His sight—
Indeed, [after] {a few years} have come, then I will go [the] way [from which] I will not return.
Indeed, you have closed their mind from understanding; therefore, you will not let [them] triumph.
"Indeed, the light of the wicked is extinguished; the flame from his fire doesn't shine.
Indeed, such is the dwelling of the unjust man,and this is the place of the one who does not know God.
And be it indeed that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself.
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
Indeed, the evil man is spared from the day of disaster, rescued from the day of wrath.
"Indeed, you have required a pledge from your family for nothing, and you have stripped off [the] clothes of [the] naked.
Indeed, then you will delight yourself in Shaddai, and {you will expect that God will be good to you}.
[From] the commandment of his lips, indeed I have not departed; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily food.
"But he [is] {alone}, and who can dissuade him? And {whatever he desires}, {indeed}, he does [it].
Indeed, God has made my heart faint; the Almighty has terrified me.
Indeed, I have not been silenced {because of darkness}, and because of me he conceals thick darkness.
because morning likewise is to them deep darkness; indeed, they know about [the] terrors of deep darkness.
"Indeed, how can a human being be righteous before God? And how will he who is born of a woman be pure?
Indeed, these are the fringes of his ways, and how faint is the whisper we've heard of it! But who can comprehend the thunder of his might?"
"Indeed, there is a mine for silver and a place {for gold to be refined}.
Indeed, from where does wisdom come? And {where in the world} [is the] place of understanding?
“Indeed, what good was the strength of their hands to me?Vigor had perished from them.
Indeed, I know [that] you will bring me to death and [to the] house of assembly for all [the] living.
Indeed, no prayer availeth when he stretcheth out his hand: though they cry when he destroyeth.
Indeed, I hoped for good, but evil came, and I waited for light, but darkness came.
Indeed, that [is] a fire that will consume up to Abaddon, and it would uproot all my crop.
Indeed, the disaster from God [was] a dread for me, and {I was powerless} because of his majesty.
Indeed, I paid close attention to you all, but none of you were able to refute Job or answer his arguments convincingly.
"Look, [in] this you are not right--I will answer you: Indeed, God is greater than a human being.
“Indeed God speaks once,Or twice, yet no one notices it.
Indeed, he says, 'A man does not profit when he takes delight in God.'
Indeed, he will repay [according to] a human being's deeds, and according to a man's way he will let [it] happen [to] him.
Indeed, it is true that God does not act wickedlyand the Almighty does not pervert justice.
Should he that hateth right indeed govern? and wilt thou condemn the All-just?
"Indeed, his eyes [are] upon [the] ways of man, and he sees all his steps.
Indeed, he has not yet appointed [a time] for man to go to God in the judgment.
"Indeed, does anyone say to God, 'I have endured [chastisement]; I will not act corruptly [again];
{According to your judgment}, must he repay [it] because you rejected [this]? Indeed, you must choose, and not I, so declare what you know.
“Men of understanding will tell me,Indeed, every wise man who hears me [will agree],
Indeed, God does not listen to empty cries, and the Almighty does not take note of it—
"Indeed God is mighty and he doesn't show disrespect; he is mighty and strong of heart.
Indeed, He lured you from the jaws of distressto a spacious and unconfined place.Your table was spread with choice food.
"Indeed, God is exalted in his power. Who is like him as a teacher?
Indeed, he draws up [the] drops of water; he distills [the] rain into its mist,
Indeed, he judges people by them; he gives food {in abundance}.
“Indeed, at His thundering my heart tremblesAnd leaps out of its place.
Indeed, it leaves its eggs to the earth, and it lets [them] be warmed on [the] ground,
"Indeed, I am completely unworthy -- how could I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth to silence myself.
“I have spoken once, but I will not reply again—Indeed, twice [I have answered], and I will add nothing further.”
Indeed would you annul my justice and condemn me, just so you can claim that you're righteous?
“His heart is as hard as a stone,Indeed, as solid as a lower millstone.
