'Prisoner' in the Bible

Let the sighing of the prisoner come before you. According to the greatness of your power, preserve those who are sentenced to death.

to hear the groans of the prisoner; to free those who are condemned to death;

Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release to the multitude one prisoner, whom they desired.

They had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

Now at the feast he used to release to them one prisoner, whom they asked of him.

Now he had to release one prisoner to them at the feast.

It happened that after three days Paul called together those who were the leaders of the Jews. Therefore don't be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner; but endure hardship for the Good News according to the power of God,

Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow worker,

yet for love's sake I rather beg, being such a one as Paul, the aged, but also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
