'Wealth' in the Bible
He swallows wealth but must vomit it up;God will force it from his stomach.
“He sucks the poison of vipers [which ill-gotten wealth contains];The viper’s tongue slays him.
“He does not look at the rivers,The flowing streams of honey and butter [to enjoy his wealth].
He gives back the ill-gotten gain without assimilating it; he will not enjoy the wealth from his commerce.
There is no peace for him in his wealth, and no salvation for him in those things in which he took delight.
Even when his wealth is great, he is full of care, for the hand of everyone who is in trouble is turned against him.
All his wealth is stored up for the dark: a fire not made by man sends destruction on him, and on everything in his tent.

Consider someone who is alone, having neither son nor brother. There is no end to all of his work, and he is never satisfied with wealth. "So for whom do I work," he asks, "and deprive myself of pleasure?" This, too, is pointless and a terrible tragedy.
The one who loves money is never satisfied with money, and whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with income. This too is futile.
When prosperity increases, those who consume it increase. {So its owner gains nothing, except to see his wealth before it is spent}.
