'Yet' in the Bible
And Jesus said to her, "What {does your concern have to do with me}, woman? My hour has not yet come."
(For John had not yet been thrown into prison.)
Do you not say, 'There are yet four months and the harvest comes'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, that they are white for harvest already.
And getting into a boat, they began to go to the other side of the sea, to Capernaum. And it had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
For no one does anything in secret and [yet] he himself desires to be {publicly recognized}. If you are doing these [things], reveal yourself to the world!"
So Jesus said to them, "My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.
You go up to the feast. I am not going up to this feast, because my time is not yet completed.
Yet we know where this man is from, but the Christ, whenever he comes--no one knows where he is from!"
So they were seeking to seize him, and no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.
Then Jesus said, "Yet a little time I am with you, and I am going to the one who sent me.
Now he said this concerning the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were about to receive. For the Spirit was not yet [given], because Jesus had not yet been glorified.)
He spoke these words by the treasury [while] teaching in the temple [courts], and no one seized him, because his hour had not yet come.
So the Jews said to him, "{You are} not yet fifty years [old], and have you seen Abraham?"
(Now Jesus has not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha went to meet him.)
So Jesus said to them, "Yet a little time the light is with you! Walk while you have the light, so that the darkness does not overtake you! And the one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.
Yet despite that, even many of the rulers believed in him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess [it], so that they would not be expelled from the synagogue.
Children, yet a little [time] I am with you. You will seek me and just as I said to the Jews, "Where I am going you cannot come," now I say also to you.
Yet a little [time] and the world will see me no longer, but you will see me; because I live, you also will live.
Righteous Father, although the world does not know you, yet I have known you, and these [men] have come to know that you sent me.
Now [there] was a garden at the place where he was crucified, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one was yet buried.
(For they did not yet know the scripture that it was necessary for him to rise from the dead.)
Jesus said to her, "Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.'"
