Esther said, “A foe and an enemy is this wicked Haman!” Then Haman became terrified before the king and queen.

The wicked strut about on every side
When

vileness is exalted among the sons of men.

When the righteous increase, the people rejoice,
But when a wicked man rules, people groan.

Agagite

“Water will flow from his buckets,
And his seed will be by many waters,
And his king shall be higher than Agag,

And his kingdom shall be exalted.

He captured Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.

Above all the princes

and were close to him: Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena and Memucan, the seven princes of Persia and Media who had access to the king’s presence and sat in the first place in the kingdom—

You shall be over my house, and according to your command all my people shall do homage; only in the throne I will be greater than you.”

Forasmuch as you are sent by the king and his seven counselors to inquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem according to the law of your God which is in your hand,
