1 LORD, God of my salvation, by day and by night I cry out before you.
1 A Song. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. For the choir director; according to Mahalath Leannoth. A (a)Maskil of Heman (b)the Ezrahite.O Lord, the (A)God of my salvation,I have (B)cried out by day and in the night before You.
1 {A Song or Psalm for the sons of Korah, to the chief Musician upon Mahalath Leannoth, Maschil of Heman the Ezrahite.} O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee:
5 released to remain with the dead, lying in a grave like a corpse, remembered no longer, and cut off from your power.
5 (e)Forsaken (I)among the dead,Like the slain who lie in the grave,Whom You remember no more,And they are (J)cut off from Your hand.
5 Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.
8 You caused my acquaintances to shun me; you make me extremely abhorrent to them. Restrained, I am unable to go out.
8 You have removed (P)my acquaintances far from me;You have made me an (g)(Q)object of loathing to them;I am (R)shut up and cannot go out.
8 Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.
9 My eyes languish on account of my affliction; all day long I call out to you, LORD, I spread out my hands to you.
9 My (S)eye has wasted away because of affliction;I have (T)called upon You every day, O Lord;I have (U)spread out my (h)hands to You.
9 Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.
9 My eyes are worn out from crying.(M)Lord, I cry out to You all day long;(N)I spread out my hands to You.(O)
9 My eye grows dim with sorrow.O Lord, I have called on You every day;I have spread out my hands to You [in prayer].
10 Can you perform wonders for the dead? Can departed spirits stand up to praise you? Interlude
10 Will You perform wonders for the dead? Will (V)the (i)departed spirits rise and praise You? Selah.
10 Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah.
10 Will You perform wonders for the dead?Shall the departed spirits arise and praise You? Selah.
12 Can your awesome deeds be known in darkness or your righteousness in the land of oblivion?
12 Will Your wonders be made known in the (W)darkness? And Your (k)righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
12 Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
12 Will Your wonders be known in the darkness? And Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness [where the dead forget and are forgotten]?
13 As for me, I cry out to you LORD, and in the morning my prayer greets you.
13 But I, O Lord, have cried out (X)to You for help,And (Y)in the morning my prayer comes before You.
13 But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee.
13 But I have cried out to You, O Lord, for help; And in the morning my prayer will come to You.
15 Since my youth I have been oppressed and in danger of death. I bear your dread and am overwhelmed.
15 I was afflicted and (AB)about to die from my youth on;I suffer (AC)Your terrors; I am (l)overcome.
15 I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.
15 I was afflicted and close to death from my youth on;I suffer Your terrors; I am overcome.
