מִקָּדְשֵׁ֣י

from the holy things

בְנֵֽי־

ḇə·nê-

of the sons

､ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

yiś·rā·’êl,

of Israel ､

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

that not

יְחַלְּל֖וּ

yə·ḥal·lə·lū

they do profane

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

שֵׁ֣ם

šêm

קָדְשִׁ֑י

qāḏ·šî

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

’ă·šer

הֵ֧ם

hêm

מַקְדִּשִׁ֛ים

maq·di·šîm

to Me .

אֲנִ֥י

Yah·weh.

[am] Yahweh .

אֱמֹ֣ר

אֲלֵהֶ֗ם

､ לְדֹרֹ֨תֵיכֶ֜ם

throughout your generations ､

כָּל־

אִ֣ישׁ ׀

אֲשֶׁר־

יִקְרַ֣ב

yiq·raḇ

מִכָּל־

mik·kāl

of all

זַרְעֲכֶ֗ם

zar·‘ă·ḵem,

your descendants

אֶל־

’el-

הַקֳּדָשִׁים֙

haq·qo·ḏā·šîm

the holy things

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

’ă·šer

יַקְדִּ֤ישׁוּ

yaq·dî·šū

בְנֵֽי־

ḇə·nê-

the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵל֙

yiś·rā·’êl

､ לַֽיהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

to Yahweh ､

וְטֻמְאָת֖וֹ

wə·ṭum·’ā·ṯōw

and while he has uncleanness

､ עָלָ֑יו

‘ā·lāw;

וְנִכְרְתָ֞ה

wə·niḵ·rə·ṯāh

and shall be cut off

הַנֶּ֧פֶשׁ

han·ne·p̄eš

הַהִ֛וא

ha·hi·w

. מִלְּפָנַ֖י

mil·lə·p̄ā·nay

from My presence .

אֲנִ֥י

[am] Yahweh .

אִ֣ישׁ

מִזֶּ֣רַע

miz·ze·ra‘

of the descendants

אַהֲרֹ֗ן

’a·hă·rōn,

וְה֤וּא

wə·hū

and [who] is

､ צָר֙וּעַ֙

ṣā·rū·a‘

a leper ､

א֣וֹ

’ōw

or

､ זָ֔ב

zāḇ,

has a discharge ､

בַּקֳּדָשִׁים֙

baq·qo·ḏā·šîm

the holy offerings

לֹ֣א

lō

not

יֹאכַ֔ל

yō·ḵal,

עַ֖ד

‘aḏ

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

. יִטְהָ֑ר

yiṭ·hār;

he is clean .

וְהַנֹּגֵ֙עַ֙

wə·han·nō·ḡê·a‘

And whoever touches

בְּכָל־

bə·ḵāl

טְמֵא־

ṭə·mê-

､ נֶ֔פֶשׁ

ne·p̄eš,

[by] a corpse ､

א֣וֹ

’ōw

or

אִ֔ישׁ

’îš,

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

תֵּצֵ֥א

tê·ṣê

מִמֶּ֖נּוּ

mim·men·nū

שִׁכְבַת־

šiḵ·ḇaṯ-

. זָֽרַע׃

zā·ra‘.

אוֹ־

’ōw-

Or

אִישׁ֙

’îš

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

יִגַּ֔ע

yig·ga‘,

בְּכָל־

creeping thing ､

would be made unclean

､ ל֑וֹ

he ､

בְאָדָם֙

yiṭ·mā-

would become unclean

､ ל֔וֹ

lōw,

he ､

לְכֹ֖ל

. טֻמְאָתֽוֹ׃

ṭum·’ā·ṯōw.

his uncleanness may be .

Instructions for Cleansing

וְטָמְאָ֖ה

and shall be unclean

עַד־

‘aḏ-

､ הָעָ֑רֶב

hā·‘ā·reḇ;

וְלֹ֤א

wə·lō

and not

יֹאכַל֙

yō·ḵal

מִן־

min-

of

､ הַקֳּדָשִׁ֔ים

haq·qo·ḏā·šîm,

the holy [offerings] ､

כִּ֛י

kî

אִם־

’im-

if

רָחַ֥ץ

rā·ḥaṣ

בְּשָׂר֖וֹ

bə·śā·rōw

. בַּמָּֽיִם׃

bam·mā·yim.

with water .

וּבָ֥א

ū·ḇā

And when goes down

､ הַשֶּׁ֖מֶשׁ

haš·še·meš

the sun ､

､ וְטָהֵ֑ר

wə·ṭā·hêr;

then he shall be clean ､

וְאַחַר֙

wə·’a·ḥar

יֹאכַ֣ל

yō·ḵal

מִן־

min-

of

– הַקֳּדָשִׁ֔ים

haq·qo·ḏā·šîm,

the holy [offerings] –

כִּ֥י

kî

לַחְמ֖וֹ

laḥ·mōw

. הֽוּא׃

hū.

it .

נְבֵלָ֧ה

nə·ḇê·lāh

Whatever dies [naturally]

､ וּטְרֵפָ֛ה

ū·ṭə·rê·p̄āh

or is torn [by beasts] ､

לֹ֥א

lō

not

､ יֹאכַ֖ל

yō·ḵal

he shall eat ､

לְטָמְאָה־

lə·ṭā·mə·’āh-

to defile himself

. בָ֑הּ

ḇāh;

with it .

אֲנִ֖י

’ă·nî

I

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

[am] Yahweh .

וְשָׁמְר֣וּ

wə·šā·mə·rū

Therefore they shall keep

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ מִשְׁמַרְתִּ֗י

miš·mar·tî,

My ordinance ､

וְלֹֽא־

wə·lō-

and lest

יִשְׂא֤וּ

yiś·’ū

עָלָיו֙

‘ā·lāw

for it

חֵ֔טְא

ḥêṭ,

וּמֵ֥תוּ

ū·mê·ṯū

and die

ב֖וֹ

ḇōw

כִּ֣י

kî

if

. יְחַלְּלֻ֑הוּ

yə·ḥal·lə·lu·hū;

they profane it .

אֲנִ֥י

’ă·nî

I

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

. מְקַדְּשָֽׁם׃

mə·qad·də·šām.

sanctify them .

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

And any

זָ֖ר

zār

לֹא־

lō-

not

יֹ֣אכַל

yō·ḵal

– קֹ֑דֶשׁ

qō·ḏeš;

the holy [offering] –

תּוֹשַׁ֥ב

tō·wō·šaḇ

one who dwells with

､ כֹּהֵ֛ן

kō·hên

the priest ､

､ וְשָׂכִ֖יר

wə·śā·ḵîr

or a hired servant ､

לֹא־

lō-

not

יֹ֥אכַל

yō·ḵal

. קֹֽדֶשׁ׃

qō·ḏeš.

the holy thing .

וְכֹהֵ֗ן

wə·ḵō·hên,

But the priest

כִּֽי־

if

יִקְנֶ֥ה

נֶ֙פֶשׁ֙

ne·p̄eš

קִנְיַ֣ן

qin·yan

with

､ כַּסְפּ֔וֹ

kas·pōw,

ה֖וּא

he

יֹ֣אכַל

､ בּ֑וֹ

bōw;

it ､

וִילִ֣יד

wî·lîḏ

and one who is born

– בֵּית֔וֹ

in his house –

. בְלַחְמֽוֹ׃

of the priest

לְאִ֣ישׁ

an outsider ､

as in her youth ､

she may eat ､

וְכָל־

wə·ḵāl

but

זָ֖ר

zār

לֹא־

And a man

the holy [offering]

､ בִּשְׁגָגָ֑ה

biš·ḡā·ḡāh;

unintentionally ､

וְיָסַ֤ף

wə·yā·sap̄

and add

חֲמִֽשִׁיתוֹ֙

ḥă·mi·šî·ṯōw

､ עָלָ֔יו

‘ā·lāw,

to it ､

וְנָתַ֥ן

wə·nā·ṯan

then he shall restore

לַכֹּהֵ֖ן

lak·kō·hên

to the priest

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

. הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃

haq·qō·ḏeš.

a holy [offering] .

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

And not

יְחַלְּל֔וּ

yə·ḥal·lə·lū,

they shall profane

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

קָדְשֵׁ֖י

qā·ḏə·šê

the holy [offerings]

בְּנֵ֣י

bə·nê

of the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

yiś·rā·’êl;

､ אֵ֥ת

’êṯ

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

יָרִ֖ימוּ

yā·rî·mū

– לַיהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

to Yahweh –

וְהִשִּׂ֤יאוּ

or to bear

אוֹתָם֙

עֲוֺ֣ן

אַשְׁמָ֔ה

’aš·māh,

בְּאָכְלָ֖ם

bə·’ā·ḵə·lām

– קָדְשֵׁיהֶ֑ם

their holy [offerings] –

of the strangers

､ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל

in Israel ､

קָרְבָּנוֹ֙

לְכָל־

､ נִדְרֵיהֶם֙

niḏ·rê·hem

of his vows ､

､ נִדְבוֹתָ֔ם

of his freewill offerings ､

אֲשֶׁר־

יַקְרִ֥יבוּ

Yah·weh

､ לְעֹלָֽה׃

lə·‘ō·lāh.

as a burnt offering ､

לִֽרְצֹנְכֶ֑ם

lir·ṣō·nə·ḵem;

[you shall offer] of your own free will

､ תָּמִ֣ים

tā·mîm

without blemish ､

זָכָ֔ר

zā·ḵār,

､ בַּבָּקָ֕ר

bab·bā·qār

from the cattle ､

､ בַּכְּשָׂבִ֖ים

bak·kə·śā·ḇîm

from the sheep ､

. וּבָֽעִזִּֽים׃

or from the goats .

[his] vow ､

לִנְדָבָ֔ה

lin·ḏā·ḇāh,

a freewill offering

､ בַּבָּקָ֖ר

from the herd ､

א֣וֹ

בַצֹּ֑אן

תָּמִ֤ים

יִֽהְיֶה֙

it must be

– לְרָצ֔וֹן

to be accepted –

have an ulcer ､

you shall offer

אֵ֖לֶּה

these [that are]

､ לַיהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

to Yahweh ､

וְאִשֶּׁ֗ה

wə·’iš·šeh,

nor an offering by fire

לֹא־

lō-

-

תִתְּנ֥וּ

ṯit·tə·nū

מֵהֶ֛ם

mê·hem

עַל־

‘al-

on

הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ

ham·miz·bê·aḥ

. לַיהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

וְשׁ֥וֹר

wə·šō·wr

And Either a bull

וָשֶׂ֖ה

wā·śeh

or a lamb

שָׂר֣וּעַ

śā·rū·a‘

that has any limb too long

､ וְקָל֑וּט

wə·qā·lūṭ;

or too short ､

נְדָבָה֙

nə·ḏā·ḇāh

[as] a freewill offering

תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה

ta·‘ă·śeh

､ אֹת֔וֹ

’ō·ṯōw,

- ､

וּלְנֵ֖דֶר

ū·lə·nê·ḏer

but for a vow

לֹ֥א

lō

not

. יֵרָצֶֽה׃

yê·rā·ṣeh.

it shall be accepted .

､ וּמָע֤וּךְ

ū·mā·‘ūḵ

And what is bruised ､

､ וְכָתוּת֙

wə·ḵā·ṯūṯ

or crushed ､

､ וְנָת֣וּק

wə·nā·ṯūq

or torn ､

– וְכָר֔וּת

wə·ḵā·rūṯ,

or cut –

לֹ֥א

lō

not

תַקְרִ֖יבוּ

ṯaq·rî·ḇū

You shall offer

. לַֽיהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

וּֽבְאַרְצְכֶ֖ם

ū·ḇə·’ar·ṣə·ḵem

And in your land

לֹ֥א

lō

. תַעֲשֽׂוּ׃

ṯa·‘ă·śū.

shall you make [any offering of them] .

וּמִיַּ֣ד

ū·mî·yaḏ

And from the hand

בֶּן־

ben-

נֵכָ֗ר

nê·ḵār,

לֹ֥א

lō

תַקְרִ֛יבוּ

ṯaq·rî·ḇū

shall you offer

אֶת־

’eṯ-

as

לֶ֥חֶם

le·ḥem

אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem

מִכָּל־

mik·kāl

– אֵ֑לֶּה

’êl·leh;

of these –

כִּ֣י

kî

מָשְׁחָתָ֤ם

mā·šə·ḥā·ṯām

their corruption [is]

– בָּהֶם֙

bā·hem

in them –

מ֣וּם

mūm

[and] defects [are]

– בָּ֔ם

bām,

in them –

לֹ֥א

lō

not

יֵרָצ֖וּ

yê·rā·ṣū

they shall be accepted

. לָכֶֽם׃

lā·ḵem.

on your behalf .

yiw·wā·lêḏ,

is born ､

וְהָיָ֛ה

and it shall be

שִׁבְעַ֥ת

šiḇ·‘aṯ

יָמִ֖ים

yā·mîm

תַּ֣חַת

ta·ḥaṯ

with

– אִמּ֑וֹ

’im·mōw;

וּמִיּ֤וֹם

ū·mî·yō·wm

הַשְּׁמִינִי֙

haš·šə·mî·nî

､ וָהָ֔לְאָה

wā·hā·lə·’āh,

and thereafter ､

יֵרָצֶ֕ה

yê·rā·ṣeh

it shall be accepted

לְקָרְבַּ֥ן

lə·qā·rə·ban

אִשֶּׁ֖ה

’iš·šeh

. לַיהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

וְשׁ֖וֹר

wə·šō·wr

And [Whether [it is] a cow

אוֹ־

’ōw-

or

שֶׂ֑ה

śeh;

､ אֹת֣וֹ

’ō·ṯōw

her ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

､ בְּנ֔וֹ

bə·nōw,

לֹ֥א

lō

not

תִשְׁחֲט֖וּ

ṯiš·ḥă·ṭū

בְּי֥וֹם

bə·yō·wm

in day

. אֶחָֽד׃

’e·ḥāḏ.

וְכִֽי־

wə·ḵî-

And when

תִזְבְּח֥וּ

ṯiz·bə·ḥū

זֶֽבַח־

ze·ḇaḥ-

תּוֹדָ֖ה

tō·w·ḏāh

of thanksgiving

､ לַיהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

to Yahweh ､

לִֽרְצֹנְכֶ֖ם

lir·ṣō·nə·ḵem

of your free will own

. תִּזְבָּֽחוּ׃

tiz·bā·ḥū.

offer [it] .

בַּיּ֤וֹם

bay·yō·wm

On day

הַהוּא֙

ha·hū

– יֵאָכֵ֔ל

yê·’ā·ḵêl,

it shall be eaten –

לֹֽא־

lō-

תוֹתִ֥ירוּ

ṯō·w·ṯî·rū

you shall leave

מִמֶּ֖נּוּ

mim·men·nū

of it

עַד־

‘aḏ-

– בֹּ֑קֶר

bō·qer;

אֲנִ֖י

’ă·nî

I

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

[am] Yahweh .

וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם֙

ū·šə·mar·tem

Therefore you shall keep

､ מִצְוֺתַ֔י

miṣ·wō·ṯay,

My commandments ､

וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם

wa·‘ă·śî·ṯem

– אֹתָ֑ם

’ō·ṯām;

them –

אֲנִ֖י

’ă·nî

I

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

[am] Yahweh .

וְלֹ֤א

wə·lō

And not

תְחַלְּלוּ֙

ṯə·ḥal·lə·lū

You shall profane

שֵׁ֣ם

šêm

､ קָדְשִׁ֔י

qāḏ·šî

My holy ､

וְנִ֨קְדַּשְׁתִּ֔י

wə·niq·daš·tî,

I will be acknowledged as holy

בְּת֖וֹךְ

bə·ṯō·wḵ

בְּנֵ֣י

bə·nê

the sons

– יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

yiś·rā·’êl;

of Israel –

אֲנִ֥י

’ă·nî

I

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

､ מְקַדִּשְׁכֶֽם׃

mə·qad·diš·ḵem.

who sanctifies you ､

הַמּוֹצִ֤יא

ham·mō·w·ṣî

the [one] bringing you

אֶתְכֶם֙

’eṯ·ḵem

-

מֵאֶ֣רֶץ

mê·’e·reṣ

out of the land

､ מִצְרַ֔יִם

miṣ·ra·yim,

of Egypt ､

לִהְי֥וֹת

lih·yō·wṯ

to be

לָכֶ֖ם

lā·ḵem

– לֵאלֹהִ֑ים

lê·lō·hîm;

God –

אֲנִ֖י

’ă·nî

I

Yah·weh.
