זָ֛ךְ

zāḵ

､ כָּתִ֖ית

kā·ṯîṯ

לַמָּא֑וֹר

lam·mā·’ō·wr;

לְהַעֲלֹ֥ת

lə·ha·‘ă·lōṯ

to make to burn

נֵ֖ר

. תָּמִֽיד׃

מִחוּץ֩

mi·ḥūṣ

לְפָרֹ֨כֶת

lə·p̄ā·rō·ḵeṯ

the veil

､ הָעֵדֻ֜ת

hā·‘ê·ḏuṯ

of the Testimony ､

בְּאֹ֣הֶל

bə·’ō·hel

in the tabernacle

､ מוֹעֵ֗ד

mō·w·‘êḏ,

of meeting ､

יַעֲרֹךְ֩

ya·‘ă·rōḵ

shall be in charge

אֹת֨וֹ

’ō·ṯōw

of it

אַהֲרֹ֜ן

’a·hă·rōn

מֵעֶ֧רֶב

mê·‘e·reḇ

עַד־

‘aḏ-

בֹּ֛קֶר

bō·qer

לִפְנֵ֥י

lip̄·nê

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

– תָּמִ֑יד

tā·mîḏ;

continually –

חֻקַּ֥ת

ḥuq·qaṯ

[it shall be] a statute

עוֹלָ֖ם

‘ō·w·lām

. לְדֹרֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃

lə·ḏō·rō·ṯê·ḵem.

in your generations .

עַ֚ל

On

הַמְּנֹרָ֣ה

ham·mə·nō·rāh

הַטְּהֹרָ֔ה

haṭ·ṭə·hō·rāh,

יַעֲרֹ֖ךְ

ya·‘ă·rōḵ

He shall be in charge

אֶת־

’eṯ-

of

הַנֵּר֑וֹת

han·nê·rō·wṯ;

לִפְנֵ֥י

lip̄·nê

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

. תָּמִֽיד׃

וְלָקַחְתָּ֣

wə·lā·qaḥ·tā

And you shall take

､ סֹ֔לֶת

sō·leṯ,

וְאָפִיתָ֣

wə·’ā·p̄î·ṯā

and bake with it

אֹתָ֔הּ

’ō·ṯāh,

שְׁתֵּ֥ים

šə·têm

עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה

‘eś·rêh

[and] ten

､ חַלּ֑וֹת

ḥal·lō·wṯ;

שְׁנֵי֙

šə·nê

עֶשְׂרֹנִ֔ים

‘eś·rō·nîm,

tenths [of an ephah]

יִהְיֶ֖ה

yih·yeh

הַֽחַלָּ֥ה

ha·ḥal·lāh

. הָאֶחָֽת׃

hā·’e·ḥāṯ.

וְשַׂמְתָּ֥

wə·śam·tā

And You shall set

אוֹתָ֛ם

’ō·w·ṯām

שְׁתַּ֥יִם

šə·ta·yim

､ מַֽעֲרָכ֖וֹת

ma·‘ă·rā·ḵō·wṯ

in rows ､

שֵׁ֣שׁ

šêš

､ הַֽמַּעֲרָ֑כֶת

ham·ma·‘ă·rā·ḵeṯ;

in a row ､

עַ֛ל

‘al

on

הַשֻּׁלְחָ֥ן

haš·šul·ḥān

הַטָּהֹ֖ר

haṭ·ṭā·hōr

לִפְנֵ֥י

lip̄·nê

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

וְנָתַתָּ֥

wə·nā·ṯa·tā

And you shall put

עַל־

‘al-

on

､ הַֽמַּעֲרֶ֖כֶת

ham·ma·‘ă·re·ḵeṯ

[each] row ､

לְבֹנָ֣ה

lə·ḇō·nāh

זַכָּ֑ה

zak·kāh;

וְהָיְתָ֤ה

wə·hā·yə·ṯāh

that it may be

לַלֶּ֙חֶם֙

lal·le·ḥem

on the bread

､ לְאַזְכָּרָ֔ה

lə·’az·kā·rāh,

for a memorial ､

אִשֶּׁ֖ה

’iš·šeh

an offering made by fire

. לַֽיהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

בְּי֨וֹם

bə·yō·wm

-

הַשַּׁבָּ֜ת

haš·šab·bāṯ

בְּי֣וֹם

bə·yō·wm

הַשַּׁבָּ֗ת

haš·šab·bāṯ,

יַֽעַרְכֶ֛נּוּ

ya·‘ar·ḵen·nū

he shall set it in order

לִפְנֵ֥י

lip̄·nê

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

תָּמִ֑יד

tā·mîḏ;

､ מֵאֵ֥ת

mê·’êṯ

[being taken] from ､

בְּנֵֽי־

bə·nê-

the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

yiś·rā·’êl

בְּרִ֥ית

bə·rîṯ

. עוֹלָֽם׃

‘ō·w·lām.

וְהָֽיְתָה֙

wə·hā·yə·ṯāh

And it shall be

לְאַהֲרֹ֣ן

lə·’a·hă·rōn

– וּלְבָנָ֔יו

ū·lə·ḇā·nāw,

and his sons –

וַאֲכָלֻ֖הוּ

wa·’ă·ḵā·lu·hū

and they shall eat it

בְּמָק֣וֹם

bə·mā·qō·wm

in a place

– קָדֹ֑שׁ

qā·ḏōš;

holy –

כִּ֡י

kî

קֹדֶשׁ֩

qō·ḏeš

קָֽדָשִׁ֨ים

qā·ḏā·šîm

ה֥וּא

hū

it [is]

מֵאִשֵּׁ֥י

from the offerings made by fire

Shelomith's Son Blasphemes

וַיֵּצֵא֙

an Israelitess ､

וְהוּא֙

wə·hū

and [who] was

אִ֣ישׁ

of

､ מִצְרִ֔י

miṣ·rî,

an Egyptian ､

בְּת֖וֹךְ

bə·ṯō·wḵ

בְּנֵ֣י

bə·nê

the sons

– יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

yiś·rā·’êl;

of Israel –

וַיִּנָּצוּ֙

way·yin·nā·ṣū

and fought each other

､ בַּֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה

bam·ma·ḥă·neh,

in the camp ､

בֶּ֚ן

ben

this [woman's] son

הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִ֔ית

hay·yiś·rə·’ê·lîṯ,

וְאִ֖ישׁ

wə·’îš

and a man

. הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִֽי׃

hay·yiś·rə·’ê·lî.

of the Israelites .

וַ֠יִּקֹּב

way·yiq·qōḇ

בֶּן־

ben-

הָֽאִשָּׁ֨ה

hā·’iš·šāh

הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִ֤ית

hay·yiś·rə·’ê·lîṯ

the Israelitess

אֶת־

the name [of the Lord]

. וַיְקַלֵּ֔ל

and cursed .

וַיָּבִ֥יאוּ

way·yā·ḇî·’ū

So they brought

to

וְשֵׁ֥ם

And they put him

in custody ､

that might be shown

הַשֹּׁמְעִ֛ים

haš·šō·mə·‘îm

who heard [him]

אֶת־

יְדֵיהֶ֖ם

yə·ḏê·hem

עַל־

‘al-

on

､ רֹאשׁ֑וֹ

rō·šōw;

וְרָגְמ֥וּ

wə·rā·ḡə·mū

you shall speak

､ לֵאמֹ֑ר

יְקַלֵּ֥ל

yə·qal·lêl

､ אֱלֹהָ֖יו

’ĕ·lō·hāw

וְנָשָׂ֥א

wə·nā·śā

. חֶטְאֽוֹ׃

ḥeṭ·’ōw.

וְנֹקֵ֤ב

wə·nō·qêḇ

And whoever blasphemes

שֵׁם־

the name

､ יְהוָה֙

of Yahweh ､

מ֣וֹת

mō·wṯ

– יוּמָ֔ת

yū·māṯ,

shall be put to death –

רָג֥וֹם

rā·ḡō·wm

יִרְגְּמוּ־

yir·gə·mū-

ב֖וֹ

ḇōw

כָּל־

kāl-

､ הָעֵדָ֑ה

hā·‘ê·ḏāh;

the congregation ､

､ כַּגֵּר֙

kag·gêr

as well as the stranger ､

､ כָּֽאֶזְרָ֔ח

kā·’ez·rāḥ,

him who is born in the land ､

בְּנָקְבוֹ־

bə·nā·qə·ḇōw-

when he blasphemes

שֵׁ֖ם

šêm

the name [of the Lord]

. יוּמָֽת׃

yū·māṯ.

he shall be put to death .

An Eye for an Eye

וְאִ֕ישׁ

wə·’îš

כִּ֥י

kî

יַכֶּ֖ה

yak·keh

כָּל־

kāl-

נֶ֣פֶשׁ

ne·p̄eš

､ אָדָ֑ם

’ā·ḏām;

man ､

מ֖וֹת

mō·wṯ

. יוּמָֽת׃

shall be put to death .

וּמַכֵּ֥ה

ū·mak·kêh

And he who kills

נֶֽפֶשׁ־

ne·p̄eš-

the life

בְּהֵמָ֖ה

bə·hê·māh

of an animal

– יְשַׁלְּמֶ֑נָּה

yə·šal·lə·men·nāh;

shall make it good –

נֶ֖פֶשׁ

ne·p̄eš

תַּ֥חַת

ta·ḥaṯ

. נָֽפֶשׁ׃

nā·p̄eš.

וְאִ֕ישׁ

wə·’îš

And a man

כִּֽי־

kî-

if

יִתֵּ֥ן

yit·tên

מ֖וּם

mūm

– בַּעֲמִית֑וֹ

ba·‘ă·mî·ṯōw;

of his neighbor –

כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר

ka·’ă·šer

as

､ עָשָׂ֔ה

‘ā·śāh,

he has done ､

כֵּ֖ן

kên

so

יֵעָ֥שֶׂה

yê·‘ā·śeh

shall it be done

. לּֽוֹ׃

lōw.

to him .

And whoever kills

בְהֵמָ֖ה

ḇə·hê·māh

– יְשַׁלְּמֶ֑נָּה

yə·šal·lə·men·nāh;

shall restore it –

וּמַכֵּ֥ה

ū·mak·kêh

､ אָדָ֖ם

’ā·ḏām

whoever a man ､

. יוּמָֽת׃

yū·māṯ.

shall be put to death .

מִשְׁפַּ֤ט

miš·paṭ

אֶחָד֙

’e·ḥāḏ

יִהְיֶ֣ה

– לָכֶ֔ם

for the stranger ､

it shall be ､
