'It is Written' in the Bible
For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the intelligence of the intelligent I will reject."
Therefore, as it is written, "The person who boasts must boast in the Lord."
But as it is written, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him."
For the wisdom of this world is nonsense in God's sight. For it is written, "He catches the wise with their own trickery,"
For in the Law of Moses it is written, "You must not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain." God is not only concerned about oxen, is he?
Let's stop being idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, "The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to play."
In the Law it is written, "By means of foreign languages and through the mouths of foreigners I will speak to this people, but even then they will not listen to me," declares the Lord.
