And I, behold, I [am] about to bring the flood waters over the earth to destroy all flesh in which [is] the breath of life from under the heaven; everything that [is] on the earth shall perish.
Do not let the torrent of waters flood over me, or [the] deep swallow me, or the pit close its mouth over me.
Therefore let all [the] faithful pray to you at [the] time [for] finding [you]. Surely at [the] flood of many waters they will not reach him.
Thus says Yahweh: "Look, waters [are] rising from [the] north, and they will become as a raging torrent, and they will overflow [the] land, and that which fills it, [the] city and those who live in it. And the people will cry out, and every inhabitant of the land will wail,
and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a proclaimer of righteousness, {and seven others} [when he] brought a flood on the world of the ungodly,
because he has founded it on [the] seas, and has established it on [the] rivers.
Let [the] rivers clap [their] hands. Let [the] hills sing joyfully together
In the six hundredth year of the life of Noah, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month--on that day all the springs of the great deep were split open, and the windows of heaven were opened.
"For this [is like] the waters of Noah to me, when I swore {that the waters of Noah would never again pass} over the earth, so I swore {that I would not be} angry at you and rebuke you.
There will be great earthquakes and famines and plagues in [various] places. There will be terrible sights and great signs from heaven.
And the flood came forty days and forty nights upon the earth. And the waters increased, and lifted the ark, and it rose up from the earth.
For thus says Yahweh: "Look! I [am] about to spread prosperity out to her like a river, and [the] wealth of [the] nations like an overflowing stream, and you shall suck and be carried on the hip; and you shall you shall be played with on the knees.
They surround me like water all the day; they circle about me altogether.
I am establishing my covenant with you, that never again will all flesh be cut off by the waters of a flood, nor will there ever be a flood that destroys the earth."
And the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, and the rain from the heavens was restrained.
[The] rivers have lifted up, O Yahweh; [the] rivers have lifted up their {rumbling}; [the] rivers have lifted up their pounding.
For as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark.
by means of which things the world that existed at that time was destroyed [by] being inundated with water.
they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed [them] all.
And God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh [has] come before me, for the earth was filled [with] violence because of them. Now, look, I [am going] to destroy them [along] with the earth.
For the breaker waves of death engulfed me; the currents of chaos overwhelmed me.
Look, [if] he withholds the water, then they dry up; and [if] he sends them out, then they overwhelm [the] land.
You let men ride over our heads. We went through fire and through water, but you have brought us out to the place of abundance.
For I will pour out water on a thirsty [land] and streams on dry ground. I will pour my spirit out on your descendants and my blessing on your offspring.
But with a rushing torrent he will bring [Nineveh] to an end; he will chase his enemies into darkness.
And he sent out a raven; {it went to and fro} until the waters were dried up from upon the earth.
(the eyes of your hearts having been enlightened), so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what [are] the riches of the glory of his inheritance among the saints,
And the ark came to rest in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.
And they did not know [anything] until the deluge came and swept [them] all away. So also the coming of the Son of Man will be.
Then the waters would have flooded over us, [the] torrent would have passed over our soul.
Who [is] this that rises like the Nile, like the rivers whose waters surge?
And from his mouth the serpent spouted water like a river after the woman, in order that he could make her swept away by a river.
These [are] the generations of the sons of Noah--Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Children were born to them after the flood.
For [when] they maintain this, it escapes [their] notice that the heavens existed long ago and the earth held together out of water and through water by the word of God,
And the rain came down and the rivers came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it did not collapse, because its foundation was laid on the rock.
When you pass through the waters, I [will be] with you, and through the rivers, they shall not flow over you. When you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and [the] flame shall not scorch you.
For you yourself will forget your misery; you will remember [it] as water [that] has flowed past.
And the rain came down and the rivers came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it collapsed, and its fall was great."
Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: 'And [so] I will let burst forth a {windstorm} in my rage, and {there will be a torrent of rain} in my anger, and hailstones in [my] rage {for complete destruction}.
And the dove came to him {in the evening}, and behold, a freshly-picked olive tree leaf [was] in her mouth. And Noah knew that the waters had subsided from upon the earth.
These are the generations of Shem. When Shem {was one hundred years old}, he fathered Arphaxad, two years after the flood.
