And for this reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
Therefore rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if you do these things, you shall never fall:
Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Moreover I will endeavor that you may be able after my departure to have these things always in remembrance.
Strive to enter in at the narrow gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavored the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.
And you say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
