And his disciples remembered that it was written, Zeal for thy house has eaten me up.
But he gives more grace. "Wherefore he says: God sets himself against the proud, but gives grace to the lowly.
Likewise, you younger, be in subjection to the older: do you all indeed be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the lowly.

And Jesus said: Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And dividing his clothing into parts, they cast lots.
I acted thus indeed on account of false brethren, stealthily brought in, who stole in to spy out our freedom, which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage, to whom we yielded in submission, not even for an hour, in order that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.
