'End' in the Bible
For the Lord knows and fully approves the way of the righteous,But the way of the wicked shall perish.
Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous [those in right standing with You];For the righteous God tries the hearts and minds.
Yet their voice [in quiet evidence] has gone out through all the earth,Their words to the end of the world. In them and in the heavens He has made a tent for the sun,
The sun’s rising is from one end of the heavens,And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
That my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent.O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
For those who do evil will be cut off,But those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land.
But the humble will [at last] inherit the landAnd will delight themselves in abundant prosperity and peace.
For those blessed by God will [at last] inherit the land,But those cursed by Him will be cut off.
Wait for and expect the Lord and keep His way,And He will exalt you to inherit the land;[In the end] when the wicked are cut off, you will see it.
Mark the blameless man [who is spiritually complete], and behold the upright [who walks in moral integrity];There is a [good] future for the man of peace [because a life of honor blesses one’s descendants].
As for transgressors, they will be completely destroyed; The future of the wicked will be cut off.
“Lord, let me know my [life’s] endAnd [to appreciate] the extent of my days;Let me know how frail I am [how transient is my stay here].
He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow into pieces and snaps the spear in two;He burns the chariots with fire.
He will pay back the evil to my enemies; In Your faithfulness destroy them.
From the end of the earth I call to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and weak;Lead me to the rock that is higher than I [a rock that is too high to reach without Your help].
Until I came into the sanctuary of God;Then I understood [for I considered] their end.
Why do You withdraw Your hand, even Your right hand [from judging the enemy]?Remove Your hand from Your chest, destroy them!
“But You remain the same,And Your years will never end.
They staggered and trembled like a drunken man,And were at their wits’ end [all their wisdom was useless].
He.Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes,And I will [steadfastly] observe it to the end.
I have seen that all [human] perfection has its limits [no matter how grand and perfect and noble];Your commandment is exceedingly broad and extends without limits [into eternity].
I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutesForever, even to the end.
If I could count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.
