'Enemies' in the Bible
A psalm of David, written when he fled from his son Absalom. Lord, how numerous are my enemies! Many attack me.
Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
The enemy's cities have been reduced to permanent ruins; you destroyed their cities; all memory of the enemies has perished.
His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
[and] lest my enemy should say, "I have overcome him," [lest] my enemies rejoice because I am shaken.
Accomplish awesome, faithful deeds, you who powerfully deliver those who look to you for protection from their enemies.
From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.

{To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD, who spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he said,} I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
And he sent his arrows, and scattered mine enemies; and he shot forth lightnings, and discomfited them.
He delivered me from my strong enemies, from those who hated me because they were stronger than I.
I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.
Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.
He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
I can count all my bones; my enemies are gloating over me in triumph.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
