'Fall' in the Bible
Your men will fall by the sword,your warriors in battle.
I will make it a wasteland.It will not be pruned or weeded;thorns and briers will grow up.I will also give orders to the cloudsthat rain should not fall on it.
Many will stumble over these;they will fall and be broken;they will be snared and captured.
There will be nothing to doexcept crouch among the prisonersor fall among the slain.In all this, His anger is not removed,and His hand is still raised to strike.
On that dayhis burden will fall from your shoulders,and his yoke from your neck.The yoke will be broken because of fatness.
He is clearing the thickets of the forest with an ax,and Lebanon with its majesty will fall.
On that day”—the declaration of the Lord of Hosts—“the peg that was driven into a firm place will give way, be cut off, and fall, and the load on it will be destroyed.” Indeed, the Lord has spoken.
Whoever flees at the sound of panicwill fall into a pit,and whoever escapes from the pitwill be caught in a trap.For the windows are opened from heaven,and the foundations of the earth are shaken.
Streams flowing with water will be on every high mountain and every raised hill on the day of great slaughter when the towers fall.
Egyptians are men, not God;their horses are flesh, not spirit.When the Lord raises His hand to strike,the helper will stumbleand the one who is helped will fall;both will perish together.

To one who shapes a pedestal,choosing wood that does not rot?He looks for a skilled craftsmanto set up an idol that will not fall over.
Youths may faint and grow weary,and young men stumble and fall,
The craftsman encourages the metalworker;the one who flattens with the hammersupports the one who strikes the anvil,saying of the soldering, “It is good.”He fastens it with nails so that it will not fall over.
But disaster will happen to you;you will not know how to avert it.And it will fall on you,but you will be unable to ward it off.Devastation will happen to you suddenlyand unexpectedly.
If anyone attacks you,it is not from Me;whoever attacks youwill fall before you.
For just as rain and snow fall from heavenand do not return therewithout saturating the earthand making it germinate and sprout,and providing seed to sowand food to eat,
The sons of your oppressorswill come and bow down to you;all who reviled youwill fall facedown at your feet.They will call you the City of the Lord,Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
