'Intentions' in the Bible
If he says, ‘Good,’ then your servant is safe, but if he becomes angry, you will know he has evil intentions.
“No!” Jonathan responded. “If I ever find out my father has evil intentions against you, wouldn’t I tell you about it?”
But they do not know the Lord’s intentionsor understand His plan, that He has gathered themlike sheaves to the threshing floor.
Therefore don’t judge anything prematurely, before the Lord comes, who will both bring to light what is hidden in darkness and reveal the intentions of the hearts. And then praise will come to each one from God.
I have done this so that we may not be taken advantage of by Satan. For we are not ignorant of his schemes.
