'Laugh' in the Bible
The LORD asked Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh and think, "Am I really going to bear a child, since I'm so old?'
But Sarah denied it. "I didn't laugh," she claimed, because she was afraid. The LORD replied, "No! You did laugh!"
Now Sarah had said, "God has caused me to laugh, and all who hear about it will laugh with me."
You'll laugh at destruction and famine; and you need not fear the beasts of the earth.
The righteous will fear when they see this, but then they will laugh at him, saying,
But you, LORD, will laugh at them; you will mock all the nations.
I will laugh at your calamity. I will mock when what you fear comes,
a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
They make fun of kings, deriding those who rule. They laugh at all of the fortified places, constructing ramps to seize them.
How blessed are you who are hungry now, because you will be satisfied! How blessed are you who are crying now, because you will laugh!
