'Jesus Christ' in the Bible
The History of the life of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ the son of God.
the law indeed was delivered by Moses, but grace and truth was the dispensation of Jesus Christ.
Peter replied, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the holy spirit.
then Peter said, silver and gold have I none; but such as I have I give thee: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, rise up and walk.
repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshment shall come from the presence of the Lord, who shall send Jesus Christ,
and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you entirely recover'd.
but when they had embraced the doctrine of Philip, concerning the kingdom of the Messias, and the authority of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
[and Philip said, if you believe with all your heart, you may. and he answered, I do believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God.]
this was what he communicated to the children of Israel, proclaiming salvation by Jesus Christ, who is the Lord of all mankind.
if therefore God has bestow'd the same favour upon them, as on us, after we had believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, how could I make any opposition to the divine will?
but we believe that it is by the favour of the Lord Jesus Christ, that we are to be sav'd, as well as they.
men that have exposed their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
this she did for several days, till Paul tir'd with it turn'd about, and said to the spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ I command you to quit her; and instantly he came out.
in our Lord Jesus Christ. but now I am fix'd in my resolution to go to Jerusalem, without any apprehension of what may befal me there:
preaching the kingdom of God, and instructing them in all things relating to the Lord Jesus Christ, with the utmost freedom, without being molested.
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, chosen to declare the gospel dispensation,
with relation to his son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was of the lineage of David as to his body,
among whom Jesus Christ has also called you:
to all the beloved of God, the saints by this vocation, who are in Rome, grace to you, and peace from God our father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is celebrated through the whole world.
in the day, when according to my gospel, God shall judge the secret actions of men by Jesus Christ.
that divine justification, which by faith in Jesus Christ is extended to all, that believe; for there is no distinction:
being justified by his unmerited favour through the redemption that is by Jesus Christ:
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ,
and not only so, but we have present joy in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now obtained the reconciliation.
the type of him that was to come: but yet the damage of the fall does not exactly correspond to the advantages of the divine favour: for tho' through the fall of one, mankind became mortal, yet this is greatly over-ballanced by the favour and bounty of God, in the benevolence of one man, Jesus Christ, to all mankind.
for tho' death reigned thro' the single offence of one, they who receive the most valuable favour, even the gift of righteousness, shall much more easily reign by the life of one, even Jesus Christ.
that as sin prevailed unto death, even so might the divine favour prevail by righteousness unto eternal life, thro' Jesus Christ our Lord.
don't you know that when we were all baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, we were plunged into a state figurative of his death.
in like manner consider your selves as dead to sin; but alive to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
for the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
the divine grace thro' Jesus Christ our Lord. so then, with the mind I my self am devoted to the law of God; tho' my carnal inclinations are enslaved to the law of sin.
but imitate the Lord Jesus Christ, and by no means indulge any sensual desires.
that ye may unanimously with one voice glorify God, even the father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
for I tell you, that Jesus Christ was a minister to the Jews, to manifest the veracity of God in fulfilling the promises made to the fathers:
to be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, officiating the gospel of God, that the Gentiles might be made an acceptable offering, being sanctified by the holy spirit.
I have therefore matter of glorying thro' Jesus Christ, with respect to divine service.
in the mean time, I conjure you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the spirit, that you join with me in earnest prayers to God for me;
for such as these serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own selfishness; and by flourish and flattery, deceive the open-hearted simple.
the God of peace will soon bruise Satan under your feet. the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
[the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.]
Now to him that is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, conformable to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret from antient times, but now is laid open,
to God, I say, who is only wise, be glory thro' Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.
Paul appointed by the divine will to be an apostle of Jesus Christ, and Sosthenes our brother,
to the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who being sanctified by Christ Jesus, are saints by that vocation, to all that any where invoke the name of Jesus Christ, who is both their Lord and ours.
grace and peace be with you from God our father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
I continually give thanks to God on your behalf, for the favour he has bestowed on you thro' Jesus Christ;
so that you will be deficient in no gift; during your expectation of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
and God will confirm you to the end, that ye may be unaccused in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
for he, who has called you to the communication of his son Jesus Christ our Lord, will make good his promise.
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to maintain all the same doctrine, to suffer no divisions among you; but to be perfectly united in the same mind, and in the same judgment.
that is, when you are assembled, and I virtually there, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
to deliver him up to satan, to suffer corporal punishment, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus Christ.
and such were some of you: but you have been washed, you have been sanctified, you have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and by the spirit of our God.
yet to us there is but one God, the father, from whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
Am I not free? am I not an apostle? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not you become christians by my labour?
but thanks be to God, who has given us the victory, thro' our Lord Jesus Christ.
If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accurst.
the favour of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the divine appointment, and Timothy our brother, to the church of God, which is at Corinth, with all the christians throughout Achaia: favour,
and peace be to you from God our father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Blessed be the God, and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of mercies, and the God of all consolation:
as some of you have already own'd, that I am matter of joy to you, as you will be to me in the day of the Lord Jesus Christ:
for what I, and Timothy, and Silvanus preached concerning Jesus Christ, the son of God, is not inconsistent, but invariably the same.
for God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to enlighten others in the knowledge of the glory of God, which shines in the person of Jesus Christ.
Now this is all owing to God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath made us the ministers of this reconciliation;
for it is God that has reconciled the world to himself, by Jesus Christ, by not imputing their sins to them; and hath committed to us the gospel of reconciliation.
for you are sensible of the beneficence of our Lord Jesus Christ; powerful as he was, for your sake he became poor, that you through his poverty might be made rich.
the ever-blessed God, and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, knows that I speak truth.
Examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith; bring yourselves to the proof; are you so little acquainted with yourselves, as not to know whether Jesus Christ be in you? but if you are destitute of proofs,
the favour of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communication of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. amen.
Paul an apostle (not from men, nor by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the father who raised him from the dead) and all the brethren,
and from our Lord Jesus Christ: who gave himself for our sins,
for I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in him, and not by the works of the law, by which there is no justification.
O foolish Galatians, who hath deluded you, you that have had the crucifixion of Jesus Christ represented to your view?
that the blessing promised to Abraham might come on the Gentiles thro' Jesus Christ; that we by believing might receive the spirit that was promised.
but the scripture has declar'd all guilty of sin, that the blessing promised on condition of faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
but far be it from me that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world is as contemptible to me, as I am to the world.
for in the dispensation of Jesus Christ, neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but the new creation.
Brethren, the favour of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. amen.
Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the divine appointment to the converts which are at Ephesus, who stand firm in the faith of Christ Jesus:
grace be to you, and peace from God our father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all the spiritual blessings in Christ's kingdom.
having predetermin'd to adopt us by Jesus Christ to be his children, according to the good pleasure of his own will,
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, whereby ye may know him:
being built upon the foundation laid by the apostles and prophets, whereof Jesus Christ himself is the main stone of the angle:
This it is that makes me Paul a prisoner for Jesus Christ upon your account, O Gentiles;
for this cause I bow my knees unto the father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and this the burthen of the song, "thanks be to God, even the father, for his son Jesus Christ our Lord."
may our brethren have peace, social affection, and faith from God the father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
grace be with all those that have love uncorrupted for our Lord Jesus Christ. amen.
the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the christians that are at Philippi, to the bishops, and to the deacons.
Grace and peace be with you from God our father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
abounding in good works by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
so that the whole court and publick are well appriz'd that I am a prisoner upon the account of Jesus Christ.
for I know that this shall turn to my deliverance, thro' your prayers, by the spirit, which Jesus Christ will supply me with,
and that every nation should confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord, to the glory of God the father.
the most consult their private advantage, and neglect the dispensation of Jesus Christ.
