1 He who (a)dwells in the shelter of the Most HighWill remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
1 The one who lives in the shelter of the Most High, who rests in the shadow of the Almighty,
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!”
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
2 will say to the LORD, "You are my refuge, my fortress, and my God in whom I trust!"
4 He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions,And under His wings you will find refuge;His faithfulness is a shield and a wall.
4 He will (H)cover you with His pinions,And (I)under His wings you may seek refuge;His (J)faithfulness is a (K)shield and bulwark.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
4 He will cover you with His feathers;you will take refuge under His wings.(D)His faithfulness will be a protective shield.(E)
4 With his feathers he will cover you, under his wings you will find safety. His truth is your shield and armor.
7 A thousand may fall at your sideAnd ten thousand at your right hand,But danger will not come near you.
7 A thousand may fall at your sideAnd ten thousand at your right hand,But (Q)it shall not approach you.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
7 Though a thousand fall at your sideand ten thousand at your right hand,the pestilence will not reach you.(H)
7 If a thousand fall at your side or ten thousand at your right hand, it will not overcome you.
8 You will only [be a spectator as you] look on with your eyesAnd witness the [divine] repayment of the wicked [as you watch safely from the shelter of the Most High].
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
8 Only observe it with your eyes, and you will see how the wicked are paid back.
13 You will tread upon the lion and cobra;The young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.(C)
13 You will (X)tread upon the lion and cobra,The young lion and the (d)serpent you will trample down.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
13 You will stomp on lions and snakes; you will trample young lions and serpents.
14 “Because he set his love on Me, therefore I will save him;I will set him [securely] on high, because he knows My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never].
14 “(Y)Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;I will (Z)set him securely on high, because he has (AA)known My name.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
14 Because he is lovingly devoted to Me,I will deliver him;I will protect him because he knows My name.(P)
14 Because he has focused his love on me, I will deliver him. I will protect him because he knows my name.
15 “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;I will be with him in trouble;I will rescue him and honor him.
15 “He will (AB)call upon Me, and I will answer him;I will be with him in (e)trouble;I will rescue him and (AC)honor him.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
15 When he calls out to Me, I will answer him;I will be with him in trouble.I will rescue him and give him honor.(Q)
15 When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him in his distress. I will deliver him, and I will honor him.
