To the pure all things are pure; but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but their mind and conscience are defiled.

For they who are according to the flesh mind the things of the flesh, but they who are according to the spirit the things of the spirit; for the minding of the flesh is death, but the minding of the Spirit is life and peace. Because the minding of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God; for it can not be.

Their feet are swift to shed blood, destruction and misery are in their ways,

but I see another law in my members warring against the law of my mind, and making me captive to the law of sin which is in my members.

I speak after the manner of men on account of the weakness of your flesh. For as you presented your members servants to impurity and to wickedness in wickedness, so now present your members servants to righteousness in sanctification.
