Again, a second time, he went away and prayed, "O my Father, if this cup cannot pass away unless I drink it, your will be done."
And going a little farther, he fell on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Take this cup away from me; yet not what I will, but what you will."
"Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done."
Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to finish his work.
"I can do nothing of myself; as I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.
In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his godly fear. Although he was a Son, he learned obedience from what he suffered;
Then I said, 'Behold, I have come to do your will, O God,' as it is written of me in the roll of the book."
For this is the will of my Father, that every one who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day."
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.
