'Happy' in the Bible
“And now, my sons, listen to me;those who keep my ways are happy.
Anyone who listens to me is happy,watching at my doors every day,waiting by the posts of my doorway.
Forsake ye, the simple, and live, And be happy in the way of understanding.
He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.
A happy heart enlightens the face, but a sad heart reflects a broken spirit.
He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.
Whoever mocks the poor shows contempt for their maker, and whoever is happy about disaster will not go unpunished.
A happy heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing,But a broken spirit dries up the bones.
The one who lives with integrity is righteous;his children who come after him will be happy.
Hear thou, my son, and be wise, And make happy in the way thy heart,
The father of the righteous will surely rejoice; he who bears a wise person will be happy with him.
Let your father and mother rejoice; make the one who gave birth to you happy.
Be wise, my son, and make me happy, so I can reply to anyone who insults me.
Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Her sons have risen up, and pronounce her happy, Her husband, and he praiseth her,
I have concluded that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to enjoy themselves as long as they live,
I have seen that nothing is better than that man should be happy in his activities, for that is his lot. For who will bring him to see what will occur after him?
There was no end to all of his subjects or to all of the people who had come before them. But those who come along afterward will not be happy with him. This is also pointless and a chasing after wind.
Sorrow is better than laughter,For when a face is sad a heart may be happy.
In the day of prosperity be happy,But in the day of adversity consider—God has made the one as well as the otherSo that man will not discover anything that will be after him.
So then I recommended enjoyment of life, because it is better on earth for a man to eat, drink, and be happy, since this will stay with him throughout his struggle all the days of his life, which God grants him on earth.
Go, eat your food with joy, and drink your wine with a happy heart, because God has already approved your works.
Happy art thou, O land, When thy king is a son of freemen, And thy princes do eat in due season, For might, and not for drunkenness.
A feast is prepared for laughter,and wine makes life happy,and money is the answer for everything.
Take me with you! Let's run away! Let the king bring me into his private chambers. The daughters of Jerusalem will rejoice and be happy for you. We will value your love more than wine. They love you appropriately.
One is my dove, my perfect one, One she is of her mother, The choice one she is of her that bare her, Daughters saw, and pronounce her happy, Queens and concubines, and they praise her.
Seek judgment, make happy the oppressed, Judge the fatherless, strive for the widow.

Those whom the Lord has ransomed will return; they will enter Zion with a happy shout. Unending joy will crown them, happiness and joy will overwhelm them; grief and suffering will disappear.
Happy is the man who does this,anyone who maintains this,who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it,and keeps his hand from doing any evil.
I will bring them to my holy mountain; I will make them happy in the temple where people pray to me. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar, for my temple will be known as a temple where all nations may pray."
But be happy and rejoice forevermore over what I am about to create! For look, I am ready to create Jerusalem to be a source of joy, and her people to be a source of happiness.
"Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be happy for her, all you who love her; rejoice with her in gladness, all you who mourn over her,
When you see this, you will be happy, and you will be revived. The Lord will reveal his power to his servants and his anger to his enemies.
Righteous art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously?
Cursed is the person who brought the good news to my father, "A baby boy has been born to you," making him very happy.
I will rebuild you, my dear children Israel, so that you will once again be built up. Once again you will take up the tambourine and join in the happy throng of dancers.

You are happy because you conquered Lo-Debar. You say, "Did we not conquer Karnaim by our own power?"
The LORD God prepared a vine plant, and it grew over Jonah to shade his head and provide relief from his misery. Jonah was happy indeed, he was ecstatic about the vine plant.

Happy those hungering and thirsting for righteousness -- because they shall be filled.
Happy the kind -- because they shall find kindness.
Happy the clean in heart -- because they shall see God.
Happy the peacemakers -- because they shall be called Sons of God.
Happy those persecuted for righteousness' sake -- because theirs is the reign of the heavens.
Happy are ye whenever they may reproach you, and may persecute, and may say any evil thing against you falsely for my sake --
and happy is he who may not be stumbled in me.'
'And happy are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear,
And Jesus answering said to him, 'Happy art thou, Simon Bar-Jona, because flesh and blood did not reveal it to thee, but my Father who is in the heavens.
Happy that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so;
The Son of Man is indeed going as is written concerning Him; but alas for that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It had been a happy thing for that man if he had never been born."
For the Son of Man is going His way as it is written about Him; but alas for the man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It had been a happy thing for that man, had he never been born."
and happy is she who did believe, for there shall be a completion to the things spoken to her from the Lord.'
Because He looked on the lowliness of His maid-servant, For, lo, henceforth call me happy shall all the generations,
And he, having lifted up his eyes to his disciples, said: 'Happy the poor -- because yours is the reign of God.
Happy those hungering now -- because ye shall be filled. 'Happy those weeping now -- because ye shall laugh.
Happy are ye when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you, and shall reproach, and shall cast forth your name as evil, for the Son of Man's sake --
and happy is he whoever may not be stumbled in me.'
And having turned unto the disciples, he said, by themselves, 'Happy the eyes that are perceiving what ye perceive;
And it came to pass, in his saying these things, a certain woman having lifted up the voice out of the multitude, said to him, 'Happy the womb that carried thee, and the paps that thou didst suck!'
And he said, 'Yea, rather, happy those hearing the word of God, and keeping it!'
And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have a great amount of goods in store, enough for a number of years; be at rest, take food and wine and be happy.
'Happy those servants, whom the lord, having come, shall find watching; verily I say to you, that he will gird himself, and will cause them to recline (at meat), and having come near, will minister to them;
and if he may come in the second watch, and in the third watch he may come, and may find it so, happy are those servants.
Happy that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so;
and happy thou shalt be, because they have not to recompense thee, for it shall be recompensed to thee in the rising again of the righteous.'
And one of those reclining with him, having heard these things, said to him, 'Happy is he who shall eat bread in the reign of God;'
And bring the fattened calf and slaughter it, and let us [invite everyone and] feast and celebrate;
But he said to his father, ‘Look! These many years I have served you, and I have never neglected or disobeyed your command. Yet you have never given me [so much as] a young goat, so that I might celebrate with my friends;
for, lo, days do come, in which they shall say, Happy the barren, and wombs that did not bare, and paps that did not give suck;
He was a burning and shining light, and for a time you were ready to be happy in his light.
Your father Abraham [greatly] rejoiced to see My day (My incarnation). He saw it and was delighted.”
If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
Jesus saith to him, 'Because thou hast seen me, Thomas, thou hast believed; happy those not having seen, and having believed.'
For David says of Him,‘I saw the Lord constantly before me;For He is at my right hand, so that I will not be shaken [from my state of security].
So they went away from the Sanhedrin, happy to undergo shame for the Name.
To keep from things offered to false gods, and from blood, and from things put to death in ways which are against the law, and from the evil desires of the body; if you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. May you be happy.
