'Woman' in the Bible
The woman went upstairs, laid him on the bed belonging to the man of God, and shut the door, leaving him behind as she left.
So she set out and went to the man of God at Mount Carmel.When the man of God saw her at a distance, he said to his attendant Gehazi, “Look, there’s the Shunammite woman.
When the man of God noticed her from a distance, he told his attendant Gehazi, "Look! There's the woman from Shunem! Please run out quickly and greet her. Ask her, "Are things going well with you? Are things going well with your husband? Are things going well with your child?'" She answered Gehazi, "Things are going well."
Elisha called Gehazi and said, “Call the Shunammite woman.” He called her and she came. Then Elisha said, “Pick up your son.”
Later, Naaman went to inform his master and told him something like this: "Thus and so spoke the young woman from the territory of Israel."
And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him, saying, Help, my lord, O king.
And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son to morrow.
She said, "This woman told me, "Give up your son, and we'll eat him today, and we'll eat your son tomorrow.'" So we boiled my son and ate him. The next day, I told her, "Give me your son so we can eat him!' But she has hidden her son!"
And it came to pass, when the king heard the words of the woman, that he rent his clothes; and he passed by upon the wall, and the people looked, and, behold, he had sackcloth within upon his flesh.
Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.
And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.
And it came to pass at the seven years' end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.
And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.
And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.
And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king's daughter.
But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram, sister of Ahaziah, secretly took Joash, the son of Ahaziah, with the woman who took care of him, away from among the king's sons who were put to death, and put him in the bedroom; and they kept him safe from Athaliah, so that he was not put to death.
This is the word the Lord has spoken against him:Virgin Daughter Ziondespises you and scorns you:Daughter Jerusalemshakes her head behind your back.
So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam and Achbor and Shaphan and Asaiah, went to Huldah the woman prophet, the wife of Shallum, the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the robes, (now she was living in Jerusalem, in the second part of the town;) and they had talk with her.
Judah’s sons: Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him by Bath-shua the Canaanite woman. Er, Judah’s firstborn, was evil in the Lord’s sight, so He put him to death.
Now these were David's sons, whose birth took place in Hebron: the oldest Amnon, by Ahinoam of Jezreel; the second Daniel, by Abigail the Carmelite woman;
And his wife, a woman of the tribe of Judah, became the mother of Jered, the father of Gedor, and Heber, the father of Soco, and Jekuthiel, the father of Zanoah.
The sons of Manasseh by his servant-wife, the Aramaean woman: she gave birth to Machir, the father of Gilead;
And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
The son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tyre, skilful to work in gold, and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson; also to grave any manner of graving, and to find out every device which shall be put to him, with thy cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lord David thy father.
So King Rehoboam made himself strong in Jerusalem and was ruling there. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he became king, and he was ruling for seventeen years in Jerusalem, the town which the Lord had made his out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there; and his mother's name was Naamah, an Ammonite woman.
That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, secretly took Joash, the son of Ahaziah, away from among the king's sons who were put to death, and put him and the woman who took care of him in a bedroom. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest and sister of Ahaziah, kept him safe from Athaliah, so that she did not put him to death.
For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken up the house of God; and also all the dedicated things of the house of the LORD did they bestow upon Baalim.
Those who conspired against him were Zabad, son of the Ammonite woman Shimeath, and Jehozabad, son of the Moabite woman Shimrith.
So Hilkiah, and those whom the king sent, went to Huldah the woman prophet, the wife of Shallum, the son of Tokhath, the son of Hasrah, the keeper of the robes (now she was living in Jerusalem, in the second part of the town); and they had talk with her about this thing.
Keep in mind, O my God, Tobiah and Sanballat and what they did, and Noadiah, the woman prophet, and the rest of the prophets whose purpose was to put fear into me.
And from among the priests: the descendants of Hobaiah, the descendants of Hakkoz, and the descendants of Barzillai (who had married a woman from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite and was called by that name).
So Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly for [each] man and woman to hear with understanding, on the first day of the seventh month.
“If it meets the king’s approval, he should personally issue a royal decree. Let it be recorded in the laws of Persia and Media, so that it cannot be revoked: Vashti is not to enter King Ahasuerus’s presence, and her royal position is to be given to another woman who is more worthy than she.
and the king doth appoint inspectors in all provinces of his kingdom, and they gather every young woman -- virgin, of good appearance -- unto Shushan the palace, unto the house of the women, unto the hand of Hege eunuch of the king, keeper of the women, and to give their purifications,
Then the young woman who pleases the king will become queen instead of Vashti.” This suggestion pleased the king, and he did accordingly.
Mordecai was the legal guardian of his cousin Hadassah (that is, Esther), because she didn’t have a father or mother. The young woman had a beautiful figure and was extremely good-looking. When her father and mother died, Mordecai had adopted her as his own daughter.
The young woman pleased him and gained his favor so that he accelerated the process of the beauty treatments and the special diet that she received. He assigned seven hand-picked female servants to her from the palace and transferred her and her servants to the harem’s best quarters.

When the young woman would go to the king, she was given whatever she requested to take with her from the harem to the palace.
All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.
“You speak as a foolish woman speaks,” he told her. “Should we accept only good from God and not adversity?” Throughout all this Job did not sin in what he said.
Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
They prey on the childless woman who is unable to conceive,and do not deal kindly with the widow.
How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
I have made a covenant with my eyes.How then could I look at a young woman?
If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour's door;
Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.
As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.
He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.
To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:
And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?
To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.
For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.
But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.
That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
Does not wisdom call,And understanding lift up her voice?
A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.
A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.
As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
A foolish child is a ruin to his father, and the quarreling of a woman is a continuous dripping.
A house and wealth [are] an inheritance [from] fathers, but from Yahweh [comes] a woman who is prudent.
Take his garment that is surety for a stranger: and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.
It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.
It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.
The mouth of the forbidden woman is a deep pit;a man cursed by the Lord will fall into it.
For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.

A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.

the way of an eagle in the sky,the way of a snake on a rock,the way of a ship at sea,and the way of a man with a young woman.
Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
For an odious woman when she is married; and an handmaid that is heir to her mistress.
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

He said,“You will not rejoice anymore,ravished young woman, daughter of Sidon.Get up and cross over to Cyprus—even there you will have no rest!”
And it will be in that day that Tyre will go out of mind for seventy years, that is, the days of one king: after the end of seventy years it will be for Tyre as in the song of the loose woman.
Take an instrument of music, go about the town, O loose woman who has gone out from the memory of man; make sweet melody with songs, so that you may come back to men's minds.
And it will be after the end of seventy years, that the Lord will have mercy on Tyre, and she will go back to her trade, acting as a loose woman with all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth.
Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD.
this is the word the Lord has spoken against him:Virgin Daughter Ziondespises you and scorns you:Daughter Jerusalem shakes her headbehind your back.
I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.
Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
“Rejoice, childless one, who did not give birth;burst into song and shout,you who have not been in labor!For the children of the forsaken one will be morethan the children of the married woman,”says the Lord.
