And multitudes also of the cities round about, came together to Jerusalem, bringing persons sick and troubled by unclean spirits; and they were all healed.

And this she did for many days. But Paul being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ, to go out of her. And he came out the same hour.

So that handkerchiefs or aprons were carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits came out of them.

And Jesus answering said to her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee as thou wilt. And her daughter was healed from that hour.

Bring him hither to me. And Jesus rebuked the devil, and he went out of him, and the child was cured from that hour.

And the rest of the men, who were not killed by these plagues, yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and wood, which can neither hear, nor see, nor walk:

But the spirit saith expresly, that in the later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils,

But that what the heathens sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God. Now I would not that ye should be partakers with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils; ye cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord, and the table of devils.

Then shall he say also to them on his left-hand, Depart from me, ye cursed into the everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, delivered them to chains of darkness,

And the angels, who kept not their first dignity, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness to the judgment of the great day.

And behold they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God?

But seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, and said with a loud voice, What hast thou to do with me, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I beseech thee, torment me not.

And behold they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God?

And unclean spirits when they saw him fell down before him and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

But the evil spirit answering said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

But seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, and said with a loud voice, What hast thou to do with me, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I beseech thee, torment me not.

And there was in their synagogue a man heaving an unclean spirit, and he cried out, saying, Let us alone: what have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy one of God.

And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is lunatic, and suffereth grievously; for often he falleth into the fire and often into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, but they could not cure him. read more.
Then Jesus answering said, O unbelieving and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you? Bring him hither to me. And Jesus rebuked the devil, and he went out of him, and the child was cured from that hour.

Master, I have brought to thee my son, who hath a dumb spirit. And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him, and he foameth and gnasheth with his teeth and pineth away. And I spake to thy disciples to cast him out, and they could not. He answereth them and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? read more.
How long shall I suffer you? Bring him to me. And they brought him to him. And when he saw him, immediately the spirit tore him, and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming. And he asked his father, How long is it since this came to him? And he said, From a little child. And it hath often cast him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him; but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us and help us. Jesus saith to him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child crying out, said with tears, Lord, I do believe: help thou mine unbelief. And Jesus seeing that the multitude came running together, rebuked the unclean spirit, saying, Thou deaf and dumb spirit, I command thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. And having cried and rent him sore, he came out; and he was as dead, so that many said, He is dead. But Jesus taking him by the hand, lifted him up, and he arose.

And the next day, as they came down from the mountain, a great multitude met him. And behold a man from the croud, cried aloud saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son; for he is my only child. And lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out, and it teareth him, that he foameth, and bruising him, hardly departeth from him. read more.
And I besought thy disciples to cast him out, and they could not. And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you? Bring thy son hither. And as he was yet coming, the devil threw him down and tore him: and Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

Many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad: why hear ye him?

Yet none of you keepeth the law. Why seek ye to kill me? The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil. Who seeketh to kill thee?

But the scribes who had come down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. And calling them to him, he said to them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. read more.
And if an house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. If Satan then be risen up and divided against himself, he cannot stand, but hath an end. None can enter into the strong one's house and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong one, and then he will plunder his house. Verily I say to you, All sins shall be forgiven the sons of men and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme. But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is liable to eternal damnation: Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

Then answered the Jews and said to him, Say we not well, That thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

And devils also came out of many, crying out and saying, Thou art Christ, the Son of God. And he rebuking them, suffered them not to say, that they knew he was the Christ.

But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away, for she crieth after us. But he answering said, I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. read more.
Then came she and worshiped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answering said, It is not right, to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs. And she said, True, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master's table. And Jesus answering said to her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee as thou wilt. And her daughter was healed from that hour. And Jesus passing thence, came nigh the sea of Galilee; and going up into a mountain, he sat down there.

For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, having heard of him, came and fell at his feet, (The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation) and besought him to cast the devil out of her daughter. But Jesus said to her, Let the children first be satisfied; for it is not right to take the childrens bread and cast it to the dogs. read more.
She answered and said to him, True, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs. And he said to her, For this saying, go: the devil is gone out of thy daughter. And going to her house, she found the devil gone out and her daughter lying on the bed.

And having called to him his twelve disciples, he gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out and to heal every disease and every malady.

And he calleth to him the twelve, and sent them forth by two and two, and gave them power over unclean spirits;

And these signs shall follow them that believe: in my name they shall cast out devils:

And there was in the synagogue, a man who had a spirit of an unclean devil; and he cried out with a loud voice, saying, Let us alone: What have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? And the devil having thrown him in the midst, came out of him, and hurt him not.

And when he was come to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two demoniacs, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man could pass by that way. And behold they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? Art thou come hither to torment us before the time? And there was afar off from them an herd of many swine feeding. read more.
So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go into the herd of swine. And he said to them, Go. And coming out, they went into the herd of swine, and behold the whole herd rushed down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters. But they that kept them fled, and going into the city, told every thing, and what had befallen the demoniacs. And behold the whole city came out to meet Jesus; and seeing him, they besought him, to depart out of their coasts.

And as he came out of the boat, there met him immediately out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, Who had his dwelling among the tombs, and no man could bind him, no not with chains. For he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder, by him, and the fetters broken in pieces; and no man could tame him. read more.
And always night and day, he was in the tombs, and in the mountains, crying and cutting himself with stones. But seeing Jesus afar off, he ran and worshiped him, And crying with a loud voice, said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. (For he had said to him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.) And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered saying, My name is Legion; for we are many. And he earnestly besought him, that he would not send them away out of the country. Now there was there at the mountain a great herd of swine feeding. And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us to the swine, that we may go into them. And Jesus forthwith gave them leave. And the unclean spirits going out, entered into the swine, and the herd rushed down the steep into the sea, (they were about two thousand) and were choked in the sea. And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see that which was done. And they come to Jesus and see the demoniac, sitting and clothed and in his right mind: and they were afraid. And they saw it told them how it befell that demoniac, and also concerning the swine. And they prayed him to depart out of their coasts. And as he went into the boat, he that had been possessed with the devils, besought him, that he might be with him. But Jesus suffered him not, but said to him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. And he departed and published in Decapolis, how great things Jesus had done for him. And all men marvelled.

And as we were going to prayer, a certain damsel, possest by a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much gain by prophesying. She following after Paul and us, cried out, saying, These men are servants of the most high God, who declare to us the way of salvation. And this she did for many days. But Paul being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ, to go out of her. And he came out the same hour.

Then was brought to him a demoniac, blind and dumb; and he healed him, so that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb: and when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake, and the people wondered.

And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject to us thro' thy name.

And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, who followeth not us, and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.

Now when Jesus was risen early, the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

And certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had gone seven devils, And Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who ministered to him of their substance.

And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him, and he foameth and gnasheth with his teeth and pineth away. And I spake to thy disciples to cast him out, and they could not.

And when he was come into an house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? And he said to them, This kind can come forth by nothing but by prayer and fasting.

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh thro' dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return to my house whence I came out, and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept and garnished. Then goeth he and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there, and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it be also to this wicked generation.

And some of the vagabond Jews, who were exorcists, undertook to name the name of the Lord Jesus, over those who had evil spirits, saying, We adjure you by Jesus, whom Paul preacheth. And there were seven sons of one Sceva a Jewish chief priest, who did this. But the evil spirit answering said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? read more.
And the man in whom the evil spirit was, leaping upon them, and getting the mastery of them, prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Art thou come hither to torment us before the time? And there was afar off from them an herd of many swine feeding. So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go into the herd of swine. And he said to them, Go. And coming out, they went into the herd of swine, and behold the whole herd rushed down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

As they were going out, behold men brought a dumb demoniac to him. And when the devil were cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never seen thus, even in Israel.

And they come to Jesus and see the demoniac, sitting and clothed and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered saying, My name is Legion; for we are many.
