Will evildoers never understand?They consume My people as they consume bread;they do not call on the Lord.

For 40 years I was disgusted with that generation;I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray;they do not know My ways.”

This will be written for a later generation,and a newly created people will praise the Lord:

The Lord made His people very fruitful;He made them more numerous than their foes,

whose hearts He turned to hate His peopleand to deal deceptively with His servants.

He brought His people out with rejoicing,His chosen ones with shouts of joy.

Remember me, Lord,when You show favor to Your people.Come to me with Your salvation
